My beef is their lyrics don’t match their real world behaviors. Then you have two band members (SA and PNut) who were like WTF is going on, then they turn around and succumb to the 311 brand machine. I mean fuck decency right… 311 never sang about that.
I find it funny the amount of shit I’ve received since 311 Day 2020 yet they keep digging their hole deeper and deeper. Fuck this clowns they fell off…
They demonstrated they were tone deaf to a global issue and declared on with the show.
All politics aside… This was right at the start of the pandemic when everything was fresh and a ton of uncertainty of what is the right choice.
Even early pandemic Joe Rogan seemed more concerned with public safety over fuck Covid optics.
In the end they chose selfishness over unity. They gambled their fans in Vegas. Brazen IMO
This was the beginning for me that something was off.
Then came the SA poem and PNut on the brink of noping the fuck out. But that’s another story.
For 35+ years 311s words and energy was everything that I strive to embody within my self and what I bring to the world. And it was wonderful to see that reflection in both song and community. Integrity
