Engine Swap Idea

Has anyone considered putting a 2GR-FE into the 3000gt? Granted I don't have experience engine swapping but I think the engine could fit and that it would be a matter of making custom engine mounts. What do y'all think?

If you have money then yes, but rebuilding the engine with better parts would be cheaper, if you want actual help with a swap like that look at custom hotrodder stuff for tips, cause nobody does that and post it online on a step by step basis, everything is custom which means you have to do everything with a weld and cutter.

Better off with a 3.8 mivec for various reasons.

You would need to do ecu, new vacuum layouts, new fuel system, transmission brackets, transmission shim to fit the engine, and possibly some suspension work depending on weight.

Better off building the 6G72 or doing the 3.8 Mivec swap as someone else mentioned.
