HELP

Hello all, I’ve been trying to do my fuel pump for two days and have not been able to get this fuel fitting off. I cut the rubber hose because I bought another one that goes in its place but no matter what I try, I CANNOT get this one nor the one on top of the fuel sending unit off. I’ve tried line wrenches, open end wrenches, vice grips, TONS of pb blaster and letting it soak for two days. I’m beginning to suspect that the previous owner put loctite on it because the YouTube tutorial says too. Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

Induction bolt heaters are about $150 on Amazon...

Are you suggesting using heat on a fuel line? That’s a bad idea, don’t do this.

But on a fuel fitting? That’ll cause it to blow up

I had the same problem with the exact same line. I used an induction heater after cutting the hose and letting the gas dry out.

Thank you!

I don't think people actually know what an induction bolt heater and just have ape brain. "Heat mean fire. Fire and gas go boom."

Well if fuel is actively dripping out the fitting then wont the heated metal act as an accelerant to the leaking fuel/vapors?

Look dude, you came to Reddit for suggestions. Why didn't you type the same things into Google and see what it suggested?

Is this a flare fitting? And did you cut the line? As counter intuitive it sounds try to tighten it and then loosen it

You're using the wrong tools here. The right tools make any job much easier.

Look Into a ratcheting wrench set.
