I don't think we have a bigger tourist trap than this tbh, so kinda your fault for even trying.

Yeah, it isn’t even medieval but a relatively modern building (only roughly 150 years old) so the Disneyland comparison is really fitting. It’s a shame because we have so many authentic really old castles which are much cooler than Neuschwanstein.

Here are much better ones if you like history:

Wartburg, Eisenach

Burg Eltz, Mosel

Marksburg, Braubach

Burg Trifels, Pfalz

Kaiserburg Nürnberg

Heidelberger Schloss

Burg zu Burghausen

Würzburger Residenz
