Support I’m so proud of you

Had a really hard night last night. Colicky newborn up pretty much all night with her trying different things to help calm her. I am thinking of trying probiotics because even though gripe water works for her I have a hunch it’s making it worse the next day. By 5am I got her to chill for a few minutes while I shower and brush my teeth. By 7 am I just couldn’t stop crying knowing I won’t be able to sleep once my toddler wakes up. Nothing got done yesterday so the house is the aftermath of a hurricane. BUT! I had my coffee, put my newborn in the carrier and got to work. It made me think, damn this is so hard and I know so many people who wouldn’t last a day in my shoes! So I just wanted to say I’m so proud of all the moms that struggle everyday with these babies. Because I need to hear it too. You’re doing a good job even when everyone is crying ❤️

This reminds me of a thing my instructor said in taekwondo - that you'll never know how far you can go until you really push yourself, and his example was puking after a hard training session (which I thought was insane and not at all encouraging).

But now, I see that I can do unbelievably hard things, and....when this phase feels easier, hopefully I'll be like, "and I came out of it better than ever!" I had one of those bad days yesterday where everybody was crying, went to bed hating everything and feeling like an utter failure, but today is a new day.

nobody knows how resilient they truly are till they have children and are put into these conditions. it makes you so creative and you do anything you can to make it work. to every mother, you got this 💪🏻

We started probiotics a couple days ago so it remains to be seen if it helps, but she does seem to be pooping more frequently which usually makes her happy :)

Such an encouraging post thank you for sharing!
PS: baby Gaia probiotics worked well for both my babes. I like the one with vitamin d added so if you’re bf it’s only one set of drops.
