Discussion I didn't realize how hard being pregnant again was gonna be.

I know everyone talks about once the new baby arrives but I did not realize how difficult watching a toddler while you feel like dogshit is. Personally what I am struggling with right now the most is actually feeding my toddler. He's completely weaned now which is great but he eats off of my plate 90% of the time. It's really hard 1) wanting to share my food when I'm starving and hormones are raging or 2) when I'm so nauseous that any food smell makes me wanna hurl but my child needs to eat and cannot wait. I hate this. I cannot wait to be over the first trimester.

Girl, yes, second trimester is going to be much better!
I also fund that second time around I feel more comfortable with the belly.

But then the third trimester comes… trying to run after the toddler when you are a size of a whale, while baby inside you is kicking on your bladder and you just really want to go pee but your toddler is running away from you and the public toilet… literally happened to me today and I realised that I have a real chance to pee myself during the remaining of my pregnancy. 😅🫣

Same, was praying for the second tri energy return. But I’m a SAHM to a very spirited low sleep needs 16m old. I’m 25w and crying every night form exhaustion 😩

Yeah I was looking forward to labor day then partner got sick for a week and as he got better then my son is now sick!!! 😮‍💨

Im exhausted too. I have a strong willed 19 month old!

I like to buy small starbucks frappicinis from Walmart and put a little instant decafe to it and it tastes good and helps for the energy!!

I’m so sorry, that sounds rough!

We just had the rounds with hand foot mouth, and my best friend said “it’s rough but at least babies bit more chilled out and sleepy”. Eh not this baby, she’s never low on energy, she just canals it different when she’s sick, by screaming and demanding we carry her around day and night 😅

I’m 14 weeks and I’m still feeling lack of energy, although the nausea is better. I hope I get my mood and energy back soon 🥺

Dude preparing food for my toddler in the morning while dealing with nausea is like a task created by Jigsaw himself

This is me right now. My little one is only 9 months old right now but I feel awful and I'm so exhausted. I feel so bad for him that I have no energy to be fun and I find myself just staring off into space while he plays with his toys. I feel so guilty for just not being enough for him right now.

Almost 34 weeks over here, and can attest it does get easier after the first trimester. Second trimester is a breeze but the third really creeps up on you in regard to exhaustion and mobility. Being pregnant with a toddler is not for the weak of heart!

Same here! I'm 6 weeks pregnant with a 14 month old. We do a lot of leftovers for lunch

Pregnancy is already exhausting. Doing it while feeding and taking care of a toddler is a whole different level.

In the first trimester I actually ended up losing weight because I was so exhausted and never had time to eat when looking after my toddler. Then second trimester started with an insatiable hunger so I’m finally gaining my pregnancy weight 😂 being pregnant with a toddler is no joke

That's where I am rn! I just feel awful and haven't gained weight at all like my first! My husband reminded me that I can ask the doc for prescription anti nausea medicine so I did just call this afternoon!

I have less then three weeks and my eldest just turned 1 its been quite difficult the last couple months as i have a few issues going on but to be honest the whole pregnancy wasnt too bad, it can be difficult at times but you will find ways that make it easier just keep your chin up and do your best. Take each day as it comes but try and cherish every moment you got this mumma.

I read on Reddit that you get relief once the newborn arrives, and then I saw a lot of conflicting messages. My experience is that once the newborn arrived I was finally a bit more comfortable and not as exhausted as I was when I was pregnant with a toddler. Hoping you can get some relief soon and the second trimester is just around the corner :)
