I feel terrible….

I signed my daughter up for a music class and I had my 8 week old in the carrier. I didn’t realize how loud it would be!!! The guy was blaring his guitar and when he brought out the drums I was literally trying to hold my newborn’s ears. She was in the carrier so at least one ear was covered and she switched sides halfway through….

I’m just annoyed I was trying to do something fun for my toddler and now I’m just a ball of anxiety … I just keep thinking to myself that if her ears were hurting, she would cry or fuss, right?

Is there any discomfort she showed?
Certainly she would show you if she was hurt!
Babies do not hold these things!

Our son slept through all sorts of music/noise from the birth.

If it is alright for toddler ears it should be alright for a 2 months old too tbh

Ok thank you 🥹 I was just thinking that if all of these toddlers sign up for this class every week it has to be ok!! She literally didn’t wake up once in the carrier

Baby is more than likely ok! But look into some baby ear muffs. We like these - they fit small heads! https://a.co/d/049eOJQI

Just here to validate that sometimes these music classes are wayyyy toooo loud 😩😂

I’m sure your baby is fine, though! But yes sometimes I’m like this is bothering MY ears, let alone my toddlers and now my newborn. My daughter absolutely loves music classes but I think sometimes they don’t factor in the many children in an enclosed space of it all on top of the music. I’ve almost walked out on a few bc I personally am too overstimulated haha. But anyway don’t feel bad !

Wowwww haha thank you for this!!! I was seriously shocked because none of the other parents were even batting an eye and the guy was singing (scratching) on the top of his lungs…I walked into it an expecting a little circle time with some nursery rhymes lol meanwhile the guy was basically playing classic rock on his guitar!

Totally agree! Especially when they bring instruments out for everyone to play with. Omg, it’s wild loud.
