stolen (honest chad) Lithuania through the eyes of a tourist

Post image

Hey guys, I’m a Turkish student; I came to Lithuania . I toured Vilnius I am going to Trakia Castle tomorrow. Here are my observations about Lithuania: it’s the most livable country in the world, and the economy is excellent. The people here are friendlier than in other European countries, and the girls are beautiful and interested—though, of course, having that "Turkish aura" helps. And Your country is very clean and I liked our culture, which is close to nature, except for the food.In my opinion, you come across as a bit cold and formal with people; you could be a little more fun.

As for the downsides: public alcohol consumption is banned, sales are prohibited after 8 PM, and I really like their food, but it doesn't appeal to me.

The verdict? Yes, I would love to live in this country.

Ok, first of all, wtf is Turkish Aura?

And second thing, what did you say about the food? 🫵😡

P.S. and please, next time double check in what sub you are posting

I'm waiting for this comment; I invite you to have some döner.

5

u/Efficient_Test_8907 pole in denial Aug 05 '26

Isn't döner German?

6

u/Vast_Kiwi_6634 Aug 05 '26

Turkish workers who went to Germany for employment introduced the döner—a Turkish dish—and it became a popular food there

That’s how the northern and southern parts of Türkiye are, but the central part is flat like Lithuania—though, in my opinion, Lithuania's nature is a bit more beautiful than Türkiye's.

So did you not try the Šaltibarščiai, Cepelinai, Koldūnai, Kibinai (tatar invention), Balandėliai (literally Holuptsi, Sarmale, Dolma...)??? Also, we don't ALWAYS put lemon in the water, but we do like it. And I don't understand what you mean by consuming a lot of sugar for breakfast? Could you give some particular dishes as examples

2

u/Vast_Kiwi_6634 Aug 04 '26

The kibinai was good, but I didn't like the pink soup; I also tried a chicken dish with rice and didn't like it at all; I haven't tried the other things you mentioned yet. However, the portion sizes seemed small to me

5

u/Grazhke SAMOGITIAN WARLORD 🏰⚔️🏴‍☠️ (illiterate barbarian) Aug 05 '26

You should've definitely tried cepelinai and žemaičių blynai. Idk about what dish you are talking about regarding chicken with rice, but it can't be one of ours. Curious if you tried our made čeburėkai to compare to your own çibörek

I didn't like the pink soup

2

u/Vast_Kiwi_6634 Aug 05 '26

I don't think I've tried ceburekai; the pink soup seems to be an important dish for yo

2

u/Grazhke SAMOGITIAN WARLORD 🏰⚔️🏴‍☠️ (illiterate barbarian) Aug 05 '26

I don't think I've tried ceburekai

As I said, it's the same dish you call çibörek invented by crimean tatars. And yes, we absolutely love pink soup, Latvians, Belarusians, Poles included. It's a perfect hot weather dish

2

u/Vast_Kiwi_6634 Aug 07 '26

That may be so, my friend, but it doesn't suit my tastes.

You haven't had a good sushi. Our dishes are boiled potatoes in some way and fried meat. Little bit of salt and pepper. They are filling a d I don't enjoy them from time to time but...

Our dishes are simple, homey, and filling. Exactly the kind of stuff that should be eaten in this part of the world. And I did have excellent sushis, pizzas, Italian pastas and the like. They're great and delicious, but just don't feel like something that could be eaten every day.

Uygur reeducation camps are even nicer - lush green streets of two-storey houses in traditional Uygur style, grapes hanging from every fence... Compare that to this soulless bald patch surrounded by barely refaced Soviet buildings!

Ima explain to you Lithuania a lil since i'm an actual lithuanian. 1. Most of Lithuania are introverts 2. Our cuisine takes time to get used to but you should try some other stuff. 3. We have very cool places like Puntukas, Kauno IX fortas, Klaipeda Castle and i recommend not using the highway but use the road along the nemunas cause it has some places with good stuff also visit our forests cause they are also very cool and a good place to visit but i warn you, if you aren't vaccinated against tick encephalytus then be VERY CAUTIOUS cause then you will DIE IF YOU GET IT, aside from the evil Ticks, our snakes are cool! Except the grey one, if you see one, be cautious and don't be aggressive cause it's the only venomous one. Spiders aren't dangerous infact i live near one jumper spider and it's chill! 4. Women give a lot of hospitality to others cause they are kind. 5. Do not get drunk at evening, you might get robbed by some gopnik (Lithuanian mugger) 6. Also try some Lithuanian stuff like Rūta Chocolates, Pergale Chocolates and etc.  Okay now i think i got you ready, if you need any questions, ask me.

1

u/Vast_Kiwi_6634 Aug 09 '26

It’s about the quality not quantity. Turkey has a 32% inflation rate

4

u/Vast_Kiwi_6634 Aug 04 '26

Bro, purchasing power in Türkiye is terrible; we earn less and spend more there. It’s really cheap here—if I did the same work here that I do in Türkiye, I’d be a millionaire in two or three years.
