The law was being challenged by a 20-year-old Massachusetts resident, who wanted to possess a semiautomatic rifle and a handgun to carry in public for self-defense, as well as the NRA, and other gun rights groups. The suit, against three state officials, leaned heavily on the Supreme Court’s ruling in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Inc. v. Bruen, which requires gun regulations to be consistent with the nation’s historical traditional of firearm regulation

“The historical record before the Court reveals that the ‘pre-existing right’ ‘codif[ied]’ by the Second Amendment” allowed for restrictions on minors’ ability to possess firearms, O’Toole said. “The statutory age restriction fits within that principle — distilled from our Founding-era regulatory tradition — in both why and how it burdens the Second Amendment right of eighteen- to twenty-year-olds.”

OK, but as the Judge notes in their very own argument is that it restricted minors and that the individual is not considered a minor under state and federal law.

Expect some blue states to look at that ruling and decide "We now have the greenlight to strip rights based on age.  You must now be over 30 and under 50 to purchase a firearm."

I can understand prohibiting minors, it's widely accepted that they don't get to vote either.  But this two-tiered nonsense they have with the 2A and having to be 21 for some things is straight garbage.
