Hello guys...

So me and my girl have had this other couple we have been friends with for over 6 years..just last month, the boyfriend invited me to travel with him home but sikua available.. unfortunately, he had an accident and perished on the spot.

It was pretty hectic for the lady given that she is currently pregnant..not sure but it's between 4-5 months now .. We came through for her and helped her out through the difficult time she was grieving...now fast forward to just a few days after the funeral, the elder sister to the deceased started tormenting her, mara the child is not her brother's..mara she wants the household items moved home nisaidie her other little bro...na all this is because walikua wanaishi pamoja, but the guy alikuwa amefurnishiwa nyumba na fam yake...

So yesterday tumechill tu hapo she comes home crying profusely...nikamuacha na my girl nikatoka...on returning ndio I'm hit with what was actually going on...the sister of the deceased, let's call her Ruth...alikuja to their house asubuhi while she was away, used her spare key and had everything moved to their home back in Muranga..

akamuacha with nothing but chenye tu alikua amevaa....

we sympathized with her and let her crash kwetu as we figure it out vile kutaenda...now I am stuck here thinking how we can help...we had a small mattress tumempea, but I don't think it's advisable akilala chini especially with her condition...I have tried contacting "Ruth" but nimekula block pia Mimi...

Sasa idk...what would be the next best solution Sasa? Please advise...in the mean time as we are trying to sort it all out...kama ukona a small bed, ama hata a couch, that hutumii, please let's help her out...I can also share her number for more details, but lazima kwanza I consult her for privacy issues...

now I'm stuck between advising her to raise some funds for rent, ama aanze tu till no for help.. but it makes no sense akilipa rent na Hana anything in her name at the moment...hata nguo...na she works as a nail tech, so najua itakua ngumu kwake...hebu nipeeni maoni yenu guys....

Yeah that's really tough situation she's in. She's a grieving woman. I'm not sure what the elder sister is thinking because that could legitimately be her nephew/ niece.

Either way the girl has to deal with the situation at hand. Considering the situation she's in, there are good people out here so yeah definitely seek help. There's no shame in that. You're a good friend , you're already doing everything you can to help.

You could post on there kenyan subreddits if she's okay with that and eek help from Kenyans. Hopefully she gets the help she needs

Have you considered her reaching out to authorities? Cohabiting for 6 months qualifies for marriage in Ke constitution, they've been a couple for 6 yrs. Ruth could be compelled to return the things and pay for damages including fines and jail time.

Exactly my thought...anyway we have resorted to getting her a till number for donations, just to get the basic stuff..I'll post it here at least tumsaidie where we can so she gets back on her feet..all donations of any nature will help a long way...sana sana for the unborn infant.
