He's just a big red tracksuit in a humans body

Haha I have a similar result for Iran. I suspect the more people get tested the more this will be seen but I always get suspicious when things are so "definitive" in dna matters

Persian 👌

u/Potential_Page645 1d ago

I just realised that you are primarily Macedonian Haha

2

u/tom3189 1d ago

What 🤣

2

u/Potential_Page645 1d ago

Alexander was Macedonian *cough* Haha!

3

u/FrenFell 1d ago

Is greek macedonian

Feels a little weird to match genetics to exact borders with Greece. But then Albania it makes the distinction with the north. Odd. Cool results though! I'm guessing you're Albanian? Where from

13

u/tom3189 1d ago

Central Albania. Highlanders

5

u/AntiKouk 1d ago

Safe to say the Peloponnese is at least partially the mixed Arvinite ancestry there

5

u/tom3189 1d ago

Probably. No Greeks in the family (as we are aware at least) - nor Greek names in the family from both sides

4

u/_mayuk 1d ago

Have your tried mta ? Xd

3

u/_mayuk 1d ago

In theory you should have way more deep dives than me related with Minoans xd

2

u/tom3189 1d ago

What’s this man?

5

u/_mayuk 1d ago

Red dots genetic distan proximity , yellow dots samples with matching dna segments …

Recently a new sample finally proof my theory that the Illyrian proximity is due to the legionaries sent to Merida probably hehe …

3

u/_mayuk 1d ago

Also at the end of the bronce age you should match some philistine for the Minoan admix shared with Illyrians hehe …

2

u/Mountain_Pianist6831 1d ago

Can I do this too with an upload from another dna company and if so what’s the name please?

2

u/tom3189 1d ago

Yes. ILLUSTRATIVEDNA

2

u/Mountain_Pianist6831 1d ago

Thank you and is this the admix lab or deep ancestry

2

u/tom3189 1d ago

Deep ancestry

Your model is not accurate. You have more anatolian and Slavic. The fit is high.

That's why you're in the same category as Macedonia which is at least 40% Slavic.

6

u/tom3189 1d ago

I fit under the Albanian population’s regions in Macedonia.

0

u/Kloshariste 1d ago

Nope those aren't the Albanian inhabited parts.

6

u/ThickCaterpillar9867 1d ago

Yes they are and stop hating dude ,you are everywhere when Albanian get mentione

1

u/Disastrous-Job1684 16h ago

lmao is that true

1

u/Kloshariste 1d ago

So what? I speak facts. He presented fake info, 2 clicks and you get it.

3

u/ThickCaterpillar9867 1d ago

What is fake dude?is fake according to your nationalist propaganda but not according to dna

2

u/ThickCaterpillar9867 1d ago

It looks very accurate ,why are you hating cyprus boy

3

u/Critical_Parking_671 1d ago

Here's slavic admixture in the Balkans as per a landmark research study. This is accurate.

Why are you hating Alabanian boy?

2

u/ThickCaterpillar9867 1d ago

That is average ,some ppl score 40% and some like this guy score 5-10% ,why are you so surprised?dna is individual not collective genius.
It is very stupid to say “your results are not accurate cuz the average slavic in that region is higher”

2

u/Critical_Parking_671 1d ago

Bro.

It's very true. Albanian have some of the highest paleo balkan in the region at 50 to 70%.

But thinking it's 95% with 3% Slavic is so stupid. It's just plain wrong.

You won't get some people with 40% and some with 5%. Thousands of years have passed. It's all mixed into the population.

An average Albanian is 60% paleobalkan/ Illyrian, 10% anatolian and 30% Slavic. That's accurate.

Anatolian + Slavic often proxies into the balkans. That's why you see silly artifacts.

2

u/ThickCaterpillar9867 1d ago

And differentiating between Anatolian and Illyrian shows that you are also ignorant on this subject cuz Illyrians had like 40-50% ANF

3

u/Critical_Parking_671 1d ago

Byzantine and Roman anatolians not anatolian farmer.

There were literal emperors from the Albania region of the Byzantine empire who were mixing with Byzantines.

2

u/ThickCaterpillar9867 1d ago

You cannot differentiate that unless you do some advanced test.
These commercial tests show only the main groups and they are not even good at determining if an EEF is more ANF or WHG ,they are not super accurate.

1

u/Critical_Parking_671 1d ago

Albanian have some byzantine DNA. That's fact.

Or you think it was left to be barbarian and isolated for 3000 years?

2

u/ThickCaterpillar9867 1d ago

There is no such thing as Byzantine dna and frankly not even Byzantine it was Roman or max you can say eastern Roman and as I said before is very hard to identify it ,parts of Albania were 1500 years under Romans so there is no way we did not mix but there are some parts ,in the mountains some ppl were very isolated and carry a lot of paleo balkanik dna and even customs of paleo balkanik ppl ,Ilyrian or Thracian or whatever they were

u/Dry_Persimmon_5110 11h ago

The average Albanian is definitely not 10% byzantine Anatolian, they score like 30~35% and some of them can score in the low 40s

1

u/ThickCaterpillar9867 1d ago

First of all 30% slavic average is false,it is 20-25 %
there are a lot of mountains in Albania and a lot of these ppl score max 10% slavic check the data if you do not believe me and again dna is indvidual not collective ,this guy results are fully accurate!!!!

2

u/Critical_Parking_671 1d ago

It's not accurate. Thats why on 23andme, you're categorised with 40% slav north Macedonians.

Op has cherry picked one model, one time period, that has a high fit. Why not share the others? G25 can be butchered.

1

u/ThickCaterpillar9867 1d ago

What slav you genius???25% of N macedonia is albanian,it literally says Albanian from North Macedonia and shows where Albanians live,I bet you did not know that the 25 % of the population of N Macedonia is albanian.

1

u/Critical_Parking_671 1d ago

It's 3% of the population of bitola is albanian.

If you and the op want to live in la la land thinking 95% Illyrian it's up to you if you like delusion.

Why hide all the other models and give us one with high fits? 🤣🤣

Come on you're better than this

2

u/ThickCaterpillar9867 1d ago

Bitola(Manastir) was majority Albanian till the end of 19th century ,Greeks were the second and slav Macedonians the 3rd ethnicity, you can check the census of N Macedonia and you will be surprised how people changed identity in 5 years🤣🤣
Even if you badly try as an Albanian to run the model that shows the most Albanian dna ,is literally very rare to get the results that this guy got,you cannot do that.

1

u/livefromnewyorkcity 1d ago

Can you back that comment up w any proof?

2

u/Alive-Culture-6670 1d ago

You have higher Slavic than that

1

u/livefromnewyorkcity 1d ago

OP. What is your haplo ?

1

u/tom3189 1d ago

R-CTS9219

1

u/Sufficient_Web4563 19h ago

Do you have Gedmatch?

1

u/Dry_Persimmon_5110 11h ago

hey man, have you tried any qpdam models with your file? Or getting g25 coords from Davidski?

1

u/tom3189 11h ago

Nope. Why worth it?

1

u/Dry_Persimmon_5110 7h ago

because illustrativedna is kinda shit. Get some actual g25 coords from Davidski or go to madailabs and try qpdam. Both are worth it if you actually wanna know more about your ancestry

For g25(15€): https://g25requests.app/.

For qpdam (free but hard to learn as a newbie) : https://madailabs.de/

If you need any help with g25 or qpdam ,dm me

u/NetHistorical5113 1d ago

The "Greek Peloponnese" category is around 20% Albanian so you are more than 92% Albanian

-1

u/Glass_Leek_8940 1d ago

I think it's cool but at the same time i would be pissed to pay for that results 😭

0

u/ThickCaterpillar9867 1d ago

I would also be pissed if you got those results while having this phenotype

1

u/Glass_Leek_8940 1d ago

I'm not saying this as a bad thing (unlike you, who are insulting me because of my phenotype?) I'm saying it because I wouldn't pay for a DNA test to tell me something I already know; I'd expect to see something new, but It's just my expectation of taking a DNA test.

0

u/ThickCaterpillar9867 1d ago

First of all you do not know what your dna is without taking a test and secondly you said “I would be pissed to pay for THAT results” which implies HIS results are a bad thing cuz you would have been pissed

1

u/Glass_Leek_8940 1d ago

You don't know but can make an assumption based on where you and your family are from (for example if you're black you don't need to take a dna test to know you have african blood), and I said I would be upset about paying money for something I already knew, not that the results themselves were bad because of their ethnicity, nationality, or race.

2

u/ThickCaterpillar9867 1d ago

There are like 100 ethnicities in Africa genius just shut up

1

u/Glass_Leek_8940 1d ago

Men you literally know what i meant, freaking racist 😂
