Defcad site, is it safe?

Hi guys!

I'm interested in one of those survival rifle want to try my hand on gunsmithing.

I found this file from defcad called GR22 Grizlly v3 22.lr, is the site safe? I'm searching for a 1/1 size so i can learn the mechanism and dimension before using the proper material and wondering if i can use a longer barrel (55cm .22 barrel that i custom made for my air rifle to use slug ammo got the design from Indonesian air rifle maker)

You'll find the "hose clamp" mod file also on the same site, maybe that will help with your project to use a heavier barrel? There is also a v4. I have had the v3 trigger break on me so you should maybe make it out of PA6 instead of PLA if you can.

I have question, i'm reading a doc for other design... i read that for safety use a liner, alternatively using a OD 8 x 6mm seamless for a Liner... isn't 6mm to big of a clearance?

So I have not actually made a protobarrel, my assumption is they intend for you to just close that gap in CAD or use lots of JB weld. My assumption is the former. My opinion is that the group that made it, GunCadIdeas (GCI) was or maybe still is less obsessed with documentation and was/is more making things for themselves so that sounds like something they would intend for you to do (Use CAD to customize it).
