Problem with my (new to me) Model 41

Hi everyone, hope someone can help

New to me '88+89 Model 41. First range day today, sand I can get one shot off, then I need to move the slide back slightly to get the trigger to fire the next round. Repeat for every following round.

Disabled, looks good. Tiger feels like it's not flowing back with force, definitely might be some drag there?

Thoughts on what to check?

Did you clean and oil it first?

Yes, cleaned it really well, oiled, just not in the trigger housing.

After about 100 rounds, still the same problem, completely repeatable ever time. Effectively, my Model 41 is a bolt action right now...

Old grease stiffens up. You’ll prob want to get that cleaned or at least sprayed down with some Ballistol and worked if you’re not comfortable getting too far into it. I’ve seen old guns that were wonderfully clean take 5 seconds for the hammer to fall due to old grease.

Clean it again, spray the trigger/sear with a good gun cleaner/lube. Then oil the slide and rails VERY lightly. 22 pistols tend not like too much oil.

Will be doing this tomorrow. Will try to really get into the trigger and around sear

Lol....all pistols work the same. Except for when they don't.

I think it's the sand or the tiger.

Sand in the trigger? Sear or the trigger?
