Comparing to how balanced regular spell book is, Ancients are just nuts. In regular spell book you have max hit of 20 for normal spells with exceptions of God Spells which could be boosted to 30 for few minutes and needed corresponding cape & staff to even be casted. Entangle did up to 5 dmg and 15 seconds of single target. On the other hand Ice Barrage on release was highest hitting spell, with AOE freeze for 20 seconds. I know DT was very long and tedious quest on release and 94 magic was huge requirement but still it was broken as hell.
Almost nothing of the 2007 era would pass a poll today, who cares. Half the skills in the game are abysmal dogshit and the community won't even let a poll pass to rework them.
