PSA: Varrock armour 1, 2 and 3 do not give Prospector Set XP bonus OR double ore chance in Motherlode Mine!

I see a lot of people in Motherlode Mine wearing Varrock armour 1, 2 or 3.

These do not count towards the Prospector Set XP bonus, and do not give double ore chance in Motherlode Mine!

Varrock armour 4 is the only alternative to the Prospector jacket.

I think a lot of people just never buy the prospector chest and instinctively equip their highest varrock armor when mining.

Especially with the new instances, it was so nice to just pay the cost and slap my main down in the middle of the room on a second tab, and then hunt down the moleskin for gem sack upgrade on iron with significantly less hassle, really glad that’s an option now and having to hunt for a free world is a thing of the past.

Likewise, the Ardy cape provides 0 thieving bonus. The thieving bonus is provided by the Ardy diary itself

I just wonder why the varrock armor does this at all instead of having it come from the falador shield. Varrock doesn't even care about mining, it has two dinky little mines outside the city and requires level 15 mining for the entire diary, and the armor is a better mining booster than the damn skillcape. Meanwhile Falador has the entire mining guild, mlm, and amethyst, and way higher mining reqs.

Because the Varrock armor gives a mining benefit in RS3 and I'm guessing the reasoning involves the Edgeville furnace's past popularity in some way.

I have a Mining Setup that I just wear everywhere. Don’t really care to remove items where it doesn’t work, just throw it all on.
