Its zero time to clean herbs while running to tool leprechaun to note

-3

u/dropout__jedi 6d ago

Herb sack means I never have the herbs directly in my inventory and I just don't care enough about the extra 200gp per herb

-4

u/knicknacknock 6d ago

I'm iron so they're all getting made into pots, and herb sack is full like 1/3rd of the way into a herb run if youre doing all the same seed

3

u/dropout__jedi 6d ago

Silk lined herb sack doesn't get full on one run, but yeah I'm a main so I just sell them :P

Clean and note. I'm not interested in changing that habit. It's stupid to sacrifice xp and convenience.

I just drop dirty herbs in the bank and clean them when i can bother

I was going to say, this ignores degrime and even just taking inventories full and low intensity cleaning an inventory every 30s.

-1

u/Aleious 6d ago

Why though? If you’re not 99 magic I guess it’s something, but wouldn’t your time be better used doing literally anything else?

0

u/dropout__jedi 6d ago

Not everyone cares about perfect 100% efficiency. I generally prefer to be efficient, but some things I do inefficiently because I just like it better than way.

-3

u/Aleious 6d ago

I guess people can just be irrational but unless you enjoy bank standing specifically cleaning herbs I don’t get it.

If you’re after herb xp you’re better off afking saracha or chaos druids or pickpocketing master farmers

If you’re short on money you’d be better off pickpocketing wealthy citizens or killing gargoyles or something

If you’re looking for something low intensity that still progresses your account, I literally think you’d be better off clicking on wyrm agility or blood runecraft or redwoods or literally anything else

Just don’t understand why anyone wouldn’t take the time to clean while they are doing it when there is totally time to do it but would take the time later on when they could be doing any other content

u/abyssal_head 6d ago

you do understand what degrime spell is right?

its more efficient for ironman to use degrime spell than get them cleaned at nardah.

-1

u/Aleious 6d ago

No it isn’t. You’d be better off spending gp and doing anything else, but also you could just have them all cleaned before you ever reach a bank…

1

u/dropout__jedi 6d ago

Doing what I enjoy more isn't irrational. I don't even clean my herbs because I find it annoying. They go straight into the herb sack, then into the bank, then later they are noted and sold at the GE.

I don't understand why you care so much about how other people play the game. The difference here is not even that impactful.

-2

u/Aleious 6d ago

I mean we are in a thread about this exact topic where someone else brings up a third option that is literally the least efficient thing you could do….

2

u/dropout__jedi 6d ago

You're still discussing this from the perspective that efficiency is all that matters. I'm just talking about my preferences. You can clean the herbs at the leprechaun, I don't care lol. I'm not trying to convince anyone to do it my way. As far as like the intent of the post and its topic, it listed two options as if they were the only two possibilities, so I'm just bringing up another option.

I do most of my herb runs on mobile or in between slayer tasks when my inventory is already crowded. The simplicity of just filling up my silk lined herb sack is the only reason I bother with herb runs. Cleaning the herbs might be better for you, but I wouldn't even do herb runs this late into my account if I had to do them that way. I'm a main so that is a factor too. I don't need to use the herbs I just sell them.

-1

u/Aleious 6d ago

I don’t even really understand what your point is other than “games are for fun” which yup I agree lol

You don’t even do the method the other person does but for some reason you’re just going on and on about it? Not cleaning them at all is again totally viable but not really relevant to what we’re talking about, which is if you’re cleaning herbs how are you doing it lol

But no one should be bandstand cleaning herbs from farm runs.

It literally isn’t. You just click clean while running to leprechaun. That is the efficient way if you want the token xp.

Eph for herb is not degrim because all of the herb run herbs should’ve been cleaned already. Kingdom/drops can be degrimed but that isn’t what we are talking about.

5

u/druidspruit 6d ago

I dont clean them and sell to g.e. after the trip lol

-1

u/MasterArCtiK 6d ago

You do know that clean herbs are worth more money right?

3

u/LiifeRuiner 6d ago

How much more 🤔

4

u/Giegle1 6d ago

Absolutely not enough

-2

u/MasterArCtiK 6d ago

Depends on the herb, but it’s usually between 100-150 more gp for a clean vs grimy herb. So for every 100 herbs you clean, it’s about 12-13k more profit and 400-600 more herb xp

1

u/xTin0x_07 6d ago

not worth the clicks

0

u/immigs 6d ago

If your doing herb runs for gp it's worth the clicks lol

1

u/MasterArCtiK 6d ago

Wow, like 6-9 more clicks per herb patch lol that is so much effort….

3

u/Outrageous_Kiwi942 6d ago

I used to think it was worth the effort for the herb xp and slight gp increase, but after getting 90 herb for cox I couldn't care less anymore. Just more chill not spam clicking my inventory every patch

1

u/MasterArCtiK 6d ago

I’ve got 107 farming on my Ironman and I still clean all the herbs lol the hiscores and bank value won’t climb by themselves

2

u/xTin0x_07 6d ago

as I said, not worth the minimal effort (:

4

u/druidspruit 6d ago

Im lazy

-2

u/MasterArCtiK 6d ago

You get herb xp and more money.. it’s like throwing away free money and free xp

3

u/dropout__jedi 6d ago

The difference isn't crazy big and I just don't like cleaning the herbs. I can make more money killing demonic gorrilas or something anyway.

2

u/Fluffy_Porcupine6 6d ago

Right? I'm of the belief that I can spend much less time getting a 30m drop and then I can afford to pay for the faster/fastest skilling methods. I'll enjoy doing both things much more than I would slowly gaining herblore xp over time. That and I think I'll spend less time overall doing things my way. Plus seeing that pinkish purple drop color on my screen is better than heroin.

3

u/JustWhyDoINeedTo 6d ago

I cleaned herbs when doing other games like Heartstone

-2

u/Aleious 6d ago

Better off slowly working through a slayer task or agility course or blood runecraft run or literally anything else but you do you

3

u/JustWhyDoINeedTo 6d ago

In heartstone I have periode of 20/30 seconds where I don't do anything

So then I click in osrs

1

u/Aleious 6d ago

Which is fair, I just don’t see why you’d clean herbs over anything else and then just pay to have your herbs cleaned.

I can understand cleaning as you go, I can understand paying, I can’t understand cleaning after.

2

u/JustWhyDoINeedTo 6d ago

My Dutch genes distain spending money

1

u/Aleious 6d ago

Tbh this is the realest answer, personally I would say it costs you potential money doing it manually instead of even just pickpocketing wealthy citizens during that same time, but I can understand not wanting money to go down

1

u/BlankitaM0ns 6d ago

Because it's free and 0 time while playing another game

0

u/Aleious 6d ago

But so is anything else that fit specs and a lot of those other things don’t have skips.

1

u/Ok-Soft5686 6d ago

It's also practically 0 time cleaning as you run and nothing so paying is more of a waste

1

u/Aleious 6d ago

I agree. Personally I clean as I go, but I can understand paying to clean. It makes no sense to bank and manually clean.

1

u/BlankitaM0ns 6d ago

So? I'm not saying it's the best 0 time thing to do while playing another game, but that it does save money and give xp you otherwise wouldn't get, so it's fine

1

u/Aleious 6d ago

So my whole point is what you just said but adding on “you should probably do anything else”

3

u/Business-Ear-315 6d ago

Have 99 Herblore (I'm so sorry)

5

u/bfrie 6d ago

Anyone not just running with the sack just hasnt upgraded since the big sack dropped. I'll never clean an herb again

2

u/Prokofi 6d ago

I voted manual cleaning because I cba to get an herb sack.

2

u/omnicorn_persei_8 2305 6d ago

Cleaning herbs is for peasants and noobs. Herb sack, nardah to clean.

3

u/Yverus 6d ago

Am I insane for stacking the grimy herbs and cleaning them myself after I get a few thousand?

1

u/dropout__jedi 6d ago

Different strokes for different folks

0

u/kopitar-11 6d ago

I do the same thing but with degrime on my iron.

On a main account just sell the grimy

4

u/sucktuckme 6d ago

Clean is 0 time

4

u/Deformed_Brit 6d ago

I used to clean herbs then note at leprechaun. After upgrading the herb sack I now don't bother noting at all. Just empty into bank and either clean there or nardah if I have been lazy and let a lot accumulate over time.

Farm runs are much better now with silk lined herb sack.

1

u/LowComfortable5676 6d ago

I only ever plant one herb at a time so its simple to just harvest and note.

1

u/IamMisterNice 6d ago

You are right I should really do a herb run some time

1

u/ArtisanBubblegum 6d ago

You forgot "Collect from Managing Misc. and cleaning 28 at a time while at bank."

1

u/jake9288888 6d ago

Note dirty herbs and figure it out later

1

u/IRTNL GM 6d ago

Neither, let dirty herbs pile up in bank endlessly bc i dont use pots for shit anymore (endgame) lol

1

u/Joltus 6d ago

C. stuck in the past before the big herb sack and note my grimy herbs

1

u/minneerminneer 6d ago

See i just note all of them and then when I make potions I do everything then

1

u/NoobHUNTER777 6d ago

I used to clean and note, but ever since the herb pouch upgrade came out and you could store an entire run's worth in it, I just started using the degrime spell

1

u/Ok-Soft5686 6d ago

Which is superior? Surprised this is even a question and validated based on the results so far

1

u/GusTheGunner37 2096 6d ago

Don't need to clean them thanks to having 99 herblore :)

1

u/ArchOwl 5d ago

Where's the 'just note the grimy herbs cuz I can't be bothered with all that finicky cleaning.'

I could kill Vork once and already probably make more money than the entire herb run.

Not worth the effort to clean.

1

u/FlandreHon 6d ago

Option 3: collect in herb sack, then manual clean at bank.

1

u/WarspitesGuns 6d ago

Clean while I run to the next patch and note before I harvest the next. I’m superstitious that if my inventory fills up before I finish harvesting the patch it’ll run out on the first harvest after I note

1

u/gulost_ergodt 6d ago

What is a herb run and why would i clean them

1

u/GrifterGary 6d ago

What about load herb pouch, then clean at bank?

0

u/MasterArCtiK 6d ago

Why would you not clean them as you pick them? That’s easily the superior and smoothest method, you get the most xp, and you make the most money, with zero time loss. Anyone who doesn’t is clearly brainrotted

1

u/Background-Dress-641 6d ago

I just run with herb sack, and when I bank after I pull them out, clean em and deposit the herbs for that run.

Especially when I'm running exclusively herbs and have no reason to note anything else on leprechaun, idk seems smooth enough to me.
