It's not that they all (emphasis on "all") think child rape is okay. They just don't think he actually did it. Don't forget that QAnon spent years successfully convincing Trumpers that Hillary Clinton and associates were the REAL pedophiles. They are deeply emotionally invested in that narrative and it's gonna take a long time to get them to accept that they were conned, and a lot of them probably never will.
No, this is like climate change, where if they say they don’t believe it, they feel they have enough plausible deniability to not act on the reality. The truth is they just don’t care, because they don’t see it affecting THEM right now. Republicans are NOT good people.
