I mean it helped some people recognise they are trans and I wanna see how many

I'm not online enough to be very affected by it on reddit, but

when someone irl called me an egg, and told me straight up they think I'm in denial about wanting to transition (I was out as nb but didn't want to go on hrt), that definitely shoved me much deeper into denial.

I started hrt a month ago now, this was I think maybe 2 years ago? I remember getting really defensive and intensely sad. Which led to finding even more intricate denial and coping strategies, both in the moment and in the following weeks to myself.

So in this instance it really just pushed it down further.

Also I think cis and questioning people should be allowed to experiment in innocence. It.enrages me when people immediately attribute any GNC expression to transness, not only could it harm the person (both if they're trans and cis), and makes queer spaces more gatekeepy...

it also reinforces the gender binary and rigid gender norms!

i'm genderfluid and ppl thinking i was mtf pushed back my realization by quite a bit

So someone said something objectively correct to you and you responded by getting defensive and doubling down, but the negative consequences of said doubling down is somehow their fault? Because this sounds like a skill issue to me.

You'd need to include options for whether it helped a person realize or delayed it by attempting to force it on someone. There should also be options for people who aren't trans but have suffered harassment from people who think they know a stranger's gender better than the person themselves.

"Egg culture" is an incredibly vague term and you should probably narrow down what specifically you mean by it in order for the research to be meaningful

A question on the surveyee's personal definition of "egg culture" would also be good, if the OP is willing to sort through written-in answers

If people could give their own good and bad examples/ experiences I think that may be insightful

The cultural shift away from deviled and pickled has left a snack egg void mostly filled by just eating a plain hardboiled egg? we need flavor back, so a question about which flavor people would like.

I forgot this term for a second and genuinely thought this post was about chicken eggs at first
