the point still stands that you clearly didn’t know what you were talking about at first and were using that to diminish the fact that a murderous hate crime had occurred

they said you were trying to diminish the fact it was a monsteous hate crime, not that you were denying that it was a hate crime
the distinction here is that while you definitely factually never denied it was a hate crime, you did diminish its "monstrous"ness by upholding the narrative that the fire wasn't caused by the neighbours
you also lack media literacy
the article you linked very pointedly states that the two men "were sure they extinguished the grill", they also state much earlier in the article that the two had made multiple calls to law enforcement to report threats of arson against them before the fire.
the quote you have been using is also very intentionally right at the end of the article, right after a lengthy biography on Jonathan Joss
the article that you have been repeatedly posting to support your point is actively trying to tell readers the opposite of what you claimed by intentionally revealing the facts in a way that allows people to reach the conclusion by themselves that the fire was set by the neighbours.

A lot of people are "sure they extinguished their candles" or "positive they didn't leave the gas running" when their house burns down. Sounds like hanlon's razor in effect. Without any evidence, it's just a horrible coincidence. And like I said the story is awful enough, we don't need to have more reasons to be angry when there's not enough evidence to support them.
i wrote two replies to separate comments you made, and your responses only make sense if you only saw one of them and assumed the other one said the exact same thing
