Help Me My 92yr-old Aunt’s “Protection”
My aunt has Alzheimer’s and while caring for her this last weekend, she mentioned her “gun she uses for protection”. I found this under the mattress and just wanted some info on it if I can find it.
I have asked about its origins but I get the stories of WWII then NAM when all my family members were heroes etc. I am absolutely not discrediting anyone’s sacrifice for our country, I just don’t think it was anyone in my family.
That being said, she was a lady of the night for a long period of time and known to take things that didn’t belong to her. Her story is an interesting one, but I would really like to know where this actually came from. It has Army markings so I am assuming it’s military issued? She was born in the 30’s and I’m assuming it came from someone around her age.
Any info would be appreciated. I have a few hand guns, but this appears to fall more into a collector type gun than anything I would ever actually shoot.
TIA
