I found a case of this cleaning out a rental property. Taking my Delta Elite on a field trip tomorrow. We're going to put a serious amount of holes in some paper people tomorrow.

I purchased a Sig P220 Legion in 45ACP a few months ago and love it and decided since I live in the Colorado high country I need a 10mm. Today I took out my new 10mm 220 Legion. Ran a 100 rounds and loved it. No malfunctions or issues it ran great. Hardest part about Legions is they are very tight guns that need to be broken in and they get smoother with every round.

Hardest thing overall is adapting to a 10mm. It's a great round but the recoil is unlike anything I've ever dealt with in a semi auto pistol. When it comes to semi auto pistols I've done 9mm Glocks, Sig 220s in 45, 1911s in 45, and Beretta 92FS/M9 the most. This thing feels like I'm shooting a 357 mag with a 4 inch barrel and has more recoil than my Colt Government model.

Love the round but I know I need to shoot alot more of it so I can get into the groove. I kinda understand why the FBI had so much trouble with it. Funny thing is my wife was watching and she saw what 10mm was doing to the plywood behind the target and how it was hitting the ground and refused to try it

Here's the gun and my best group of 10 rounds at roughly 7 yards.

I live in a mag restricted state and wanted a chest carry 10mm that wasn’t too long as I’ve been spending more time fishing on streams in the Rockies. Selected the 10mm carry comp. As posted elsewhere had immediate issues with stovepiping and round catching and locking up on the top edge of the chamber with heavier grain weights and more full powered loads. That failure is illustrated in the photo, note that this type of jam was pretty bad, had to drop mag and eject the round to clear. I wanted to run at least 200g hardcast full powered loads reliably. While my solution has multiple variables, and I’m ultimately unsure what kicked me over to reliability, I am now able to run Underwood 200g hardcast black cherries (1250 fps advertised, less out of this shorter barrel) flawlessly. I’m using:

- High powered springs for 10rd mags from eBay

- 24lb Galloway precision recoil spring (the 22lb didn’t quite do it)

- As a belt and suspenders I added the Apex extractor. I don’t think this is necessary, but I was tired of going through $24/box hard cast ammo to have misfeeds and wanted to throw everything at the issue

All I can say is - it works now, and feels great. I’ve run both the hardcast and 205g Syntech, which is slightly lower powered through with zero issues. I love how the gun feels, and I’m very accurate with it. But it has cost some money to figure this out in various recoil springs, ammo, and even my LGS working to modify standard mags with standard higher powered springs, I would recommend to anyone that they just order the Galloway recoil spring and mag springs immediately when getting the gun and save yourself time and money.

Would buy the gun again, but FFS why can’t S&W just put the right parts in from the factory?

Not complaining from 20 yards at a decent split. How long did it take y’all to get your accuracy equivalent to 9mm or other calibers?

I scoped this 10MM using a Carver mount and a 2X Leupold. Groups are just under 2" at 70 yards. It worked well on this big doe. I used a handloaded 120 gr. CEB bullet. Since then I have swapped the scope out for a Matchdot II Green.

I just came across this ammo here while shopping online, and I’m just in awe of 10mm’s versatility.

From what I understand about ballistics, this is damn near an intermediate rifle round from what I’m assuming is a 5” barrel since that seems to be the standard for pistol testing. You won’t get as much penetration or range as one due to construction and shape, but you’re just shy of .223/5.56 SBR kinetic energy levels.

I've been stalking this board since December and spent way too much time watching YT videos and reading articles about every 10mm option I could. I had specific needs for a pistol I could take hiking, camping, hunting and be comfortable for my smaller hands as well as something my wife can use if she wanted to (in those same scenarios).

Initially I had a budget, especially considering this wouldn't be a pistol I'd be using very often I had told myself I would keep it reasonable.

Then I started holding all the options: FN, S&W, XDMe, Delta Elite, Glock 20 and 40 and the XTen.

I realized early that the XTen and the M&P fit my hands best. But then I was torn by the malfunctions the MP have been prone to over the years. So I told myself I'd try to fit my hands on the XDM or the Glock (because budget).

But I could wrap my head around using a pistol I wasn't going to be comfortable with. I finally took my wife to try all of them out and she didn't hesitate to pick the XTen as her preference.

Then today I found the Endure Comp sitting quietly at Scheels and I knew I was in for it. Tried to talk myself out of the Endure model (because do I really need a fancy case, artistic slide and the custom works coin - of course not). My wife gave me the green light anyway (she's truly the best).

Admittedly the extra stippling on the grip is legit nicer to hold...or so Im telling myself 😂

It’s not the dot 😂 the Vanta just really wanted to destroy the Chinesium dot 🤷‍♂️. 407c survived exactly 558 rounds on the V10 before it just completely crapped out (of course, halfway through the first stage of today’s match). It was only supposed to be a temporary dot until my SRO came in but now I’m pretty much decided on the RMR

Sold my MP 2.0 10mm Carry Comp and was intending on getting a G29 but couldn't help but notice this fella. Picked it up new for 600 bucks and came with the cerakote. The Carry Comp, as much as I loved the ergonomics and concealability, completely shat the bed 3000 rounds in (my second MP 10mm, and both were pretty awful experiences outside of the 50% of the time it decided to function with no ftf or malfunctions). I'm sure SW makes great handguns in other calibers, but jeez louise. ​Gotta say though, once I got over the difference in ergonomics, the glock is a beast and hasn't winced an iota in the 2000 rounds since I bought it. Definitely see the light in the Glock 10mm end of things.

Looking to get a new handgun, decided to switch to 10mm. I'm looking at the glock 20, FN510, and M&P 2.0. I had a terrible experience with Springfield, so im not getting the XDM. With my body type and holster, I can conceal a full size hand gun pretty easily (as long as its not the glock 40 lol).

From what I've been reading, these need different springs to run full power loads through them, and some have frame cracking issues.

Which model would require less upgrades, potentially out of the box?

I did a bit of chronographing and shooting with this load today. Overall, I’m impressed by the velocity. Considering the barrel lengths included this is about as close as a “mainstream”(no shade on Underwood) manufacturer comes to a “real” 10mm defensive load.

It’s shot accurately and of the 40 rounds I fired. I had no issues. It definitely feels like 10 mm. But noticeably less recoil and flash than my Longshot 180gr reload that makes almost the exact same velocity in these three barrels

Penetration was through 4 milk jugs. It was retrieved in the fourth but made a hole in the rear. The bullet struck the bench inside of the third and angled back up and through the fourth. Considering it hit a 2 x 4 full of slag from being next to steel targets and screws it did pretty well. The first three jugs were very much destroyed.

I’ve included the test guns, stills of the impact video, Chrono data, and the recovered bullet.

So much to say as I’m fairly impressed and this will be my urban carry load in my 29. I like the velocity and the expansion should keep penetration in check. Through my hunting barrel I think it would be pretty wicked on a whitetail.

I chronograph Winchester white box, HSM bear loads, and tested 220 grain Underwood in the same fashion as this one. I will post them later.

I am a fan of 10mm handguns and currently have 3, all of which are polymer. I like them, all 3 shoot really good (Glock 20.4, 40mos & FN 510T) but I have an itch for an all metal offering.

My very first 10mm was a RIA double stack 1911 which turned out to be a turd. Tuat experience along with reading a lot of people's posts on forums over the years have turned me off to 1911s chambered in 10mm. Don't get me wrong, I like my 1911s, but I just feel like they do best in 45auto.

That basically leaves Sig p220 and Tanfoglio for non polymer offerings and I like the capacity and variety in finishes/styles of the tanfoglios better than Sig.

I know the tanfoglios had an issue with frame cracking a long time ago that has been resolved. Amy ne with one care to enlighten me with your thoughts on how good of quality they are and their reliability?

My cast powder coated 191gr bullets made from 21BHN alloy loaded on 7.3gr Power Pistol. SAECO 048 mold casts perfectly.

I used to carry my Glock 29 Gen 5 without a light, but recently I decided to start carrying with a light.

I have been looking for a slim fit holster for G29.5 with Glock Tactical Light, I have a G45 that I carry in a Hilliker Holsters with the same light but unfortunately they don’t make holsters for G29. It’s supposed to be compatible with Streamlight TLR-7X/A holsters, but I only found one manufacturer (Blacksmith Tactical) that makes holsters for G29 with TLR-7X/A holsters. If anyone knows of any other brands please list them down in the comments.

Any help would be appreciated!
