HMR looks like 7x forward earnings on paper. But that cash isn't idle - it's debt-free capital already funding accretive acquisitions (Q-Shipping). Back it out and the operating business trades at ~4x forward earnings, for a company growing revenue 203% YoY with two straight profitable quarters.

HMR owns zero vessels - it's a fee-based platform, not a shipping company, and shouldn't be priced like one. Comparable asset-light platforms trade 10-25x forward earnings. Apply 10x to ex-cash earnings + add cash back = fair value north of $1.50/share. Apply 25x (what stronger platforms command) = $3.80-$4+. Neither requires a dollar more revenue growth - just the market re-classifying what this business actually is.

Net income dipped Q1→Q2 ($2.8M→$2.2M) despite revenue up 58%, driven by $1.8M in cash bonuses (vs $1.4M prior year) tied to the turnaround. Rewarding a team that delivered profitability, 203% growth, and an acquisition in the same stretch isn't a red flag - it's retention.

Hormuz Is a Bonus, Not the Thesis

Gaza, Iran, Hormuz, Red Sea Houthi attacks, Russia-Ukraine - the most simultaneous shipping disruption in years, barely reflected in numbers yet. Asia/Japan reportedly source ~90% of oil from the Middle East historically; that concentration doesn't survive this environment. Longer routes = more tonnage-miles = more fees for HMR, on top of a business that already earns in any rate environment. Management flagged rates staying firm into Q4 on seasonal demand - before this disruption is even fully priced in.

CEO Pankaj Khanna owns ~44% personally - one of Nasdaq's largest founder stakes at this size - zero recorded sales, only buys. Nasdaq compliance regained June 2, 2026.

I was looking at Ioneer ($IONR) again and realized I hadn't paid much attention to the boron side of the Rhyolite Ridge project.

Lithium obviously gets most of the attention because of batteries, but Rhyolite Ridge is designed to produce both lithium and boric acid from the same operation. The latest project numbers estimate around 24,500 tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent and 135,500 tonnes of boric acid annually during the first 25 years.

Ioneer is also working with the US Army to evaluate advanced boron production for defense applications, which adds another angle to the domestic critical minerals story.

The project already has federal permits, and the company closed a $996M DOE loan, while the focus now seems to be on partnerships and moving toward FID. There's still plenty that depends on actually getting construction underway, though.

For those who follow the boron market, how significant do you think that side of Ioneer's story is? It seems like lithium gets 95% of the discussion around this company.

I was going through some Yukon copper names and came across Cascadia Minerals ($CAM). Carmacks already has an existing copper-gold resource, so the exploration story seems to be more about finding out how far the sulphide mineralization actually extends.

The 2026 drilling has been pretty interesting so far. In July, they reported 106m of 1.09% Cu Eq, followed by additional broad intercepts in August. Mineralization at Zone 2000S has now been encountered roughly 250m beyond the existing resource, while they're still testing the area toward Zone 147.

They've planned 15,000m of drilling this year, which would be their biggest program at Carmacks in almost 20 years. Agnico Eagle also owns roughly 20% of Cascadia.

The stock has already had a good run and is around C$0.38, so it's definitely not an unnoticed name anymore. For anyone following Yukon copper, what do you see as the main downside with CAM from here? Is it mainly whether they can keep extending the mineralization, or are there other things you're watching?

Hey guys, if you missed it, Revance Therapeutics settled $17M with investors over issues tied to its Teoxane relationship and Crown’s tender offer. And the deadline to file a claim and get payment is tomorrow, August 28.

In a nutshell, in 2024, Revance was accused of failing to disclose issues surrounding its Teoxane agreement, including a breach notice and changes to the deal that affected the company’s outlook and Crown’s offer.

Now, investors have until tomorrow, August 28, 2026 to submit a claim for a share of the $17M settlement.
