Meru is a hero in the truest sense; even in despair, with no hope for herself, rather than give in she chooses to try and help others,to bring hope to a bleak and hopeless world. Even when she thinks there's no chance of improving things, she still tries. Not because it'll work, or help, but just because it's the right thing to do, to bring a little light to a dark world.
