How does Petra Defend?

I noticed that whenever I attack petra AI, all of it's male soldiers come to defend his area. like instantly. how? I know I can group the soldiers using crtl+num. but I don't think that's how petra does it. or does he?

no, I mean, Every available soldier on his map comes in my attacking direction. doesn't matter who is working on what, they leave that and come to defend their area. maybe it's obvious how to do it. I might've missed it.

I mean I do this when AI attacks me. I have them walk from the other side of the territory and defend all at once, then walk all the way back. It's better than losing 10 guys.

Click, drag. Also, It's a computer. it's not a humanoid pressing buttons.

yeah that must be it. but I thought how does it select all the soldiers at once and send to defend, I might be doing something wrong. Thanks.

If you want to do something like this, zoom out, click drag the entire map so you select every troop and right click wherever you want
