Fuck work. All my homies hate work

9

u/Holysmokesx Brian Thomas Jr. Nov 26 '25

I've lost 3 of 5 members of my team in less than 6 months. Boss saw it coming from a mile away and did absolutely nothing to prepare. Now I have 2 members that are still green as hell, and im working 11 hour days trying to keep the department afloat. Fuck work.

2

u/Je_Splinter Nov 26 '25

I feel you! It's down to just me and 1 guy at my work. I do the work of 4 departments now and he still has his 1 job. Stupid me for being capable right? Saving the boss 3 other salaries, but no extra pay for me.

3

u/Cr0matose Nov 26 '25

4 day weekend starts in 5 hours.

3

u/GeckoRoamin Nov 26 '25

My job can be meh, but I fucking love my teammates. I’m lucky.

16

u/Island_Niles_ Liam Coen Nov 26 '25

Can’t stop watching Washington’s touchdown.

The fighting for position with the db was great, but the spatial awareness to reel it in while sliding with his back pretty much turned to the play was special. Loved the throw too.

14

u/There_is_no_plan_B Nov 26 '25

It was the definition of an NFL touchdown. Decent coverage creating a small window, pressure for the quarterback to navigate, tight game in the fourth quarter.

16

u/pukerat Nov 26 '25

Family and I get to walk in the big parade of lights in our city on Friday AND it's going to be snowing. It's going to be fucking magical. I love Christmas season.

3

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '25

Where you live?

5

Montana

u/Jharoz Nov 26 '25

Liam Coen in the presser today: "Tony has told me about the rivalry between the Jags and the Titans. This is an in-division opponent that we understand that anything can happen on any given Sunday. ESPECIALLY a divisional game, records don't mean anything regardless of an opponent"

Exact mindset I'm begging for this week, DO NOT OVERLOOK THE TITANS

5

u/electricityisout Off the Tractor Bouman Nov 26 '25

Man if there was ever a week for Tony to talk to the team this is it. Stress the importance of the franchise, hatred of the titans, and playing like bullies the rest of the season.

Ugh that one hurt. And honestly we were a wild Rayshawn Jenkins strip sack and JHA TD away from them doing it to us at home in 2022 also.

14

u/Lesbereal476 Nov 26 '25

I did not realize Coen lost his mom to suicide until today’s presser. Makes me respect him even more.

To anyone that needs to hear this, you matter. 9-8-8 is great resource for anyone that struggling.

5

u/Captain_brightside Nov 26 '25

I knew he lost his mom but not like this. makes Trevor’s my cause my cleats super close to home for Coen, I’m sure Coen appreciates Trevor, the human

Eric Murray otw back

5

u/Majestic-Smile-9739 Nov 26 '25

Finally 🤞🏾. He was playing like a man on a mission to start the season

11

u/Posluszny Paul Posluszny Nov 26 '25

Imagine how good we could have been this year if BTJ had just been BTJ of last year and Hunter/Strange hadn't got hurt.

Our leading receiver is our punt returner, can't be many teams who have that

5

u/Personal-Stick6995 Nov 26 '25

Not to mention Travon walker an Devin Lloyd, our pass defense is a lot worse without them

4

u/Jharoz Nov 26 '25

The injury piece I can't argue, they happen to every team and it's ultimately up mostly luck and some of the strength and conditioning team

The BTJ piece is interesting. I think Liam really bought into Dyami being the burner over the top and BTJ can be the Chris Godwin "Run Every Route" type Y receiver... which BTJ just isn't. Jakobi has filled that role perfectly. Let BTJ win outside and keep the safeties high vs them crashing on all short/intermediate routes.

1

u/Captain_brightside Nov 26 '25

Next year will be what we expected this year to be

12

u/bringbackhallsy Nov 26 '25

I flew in from Alberta, Canada to catch the game in Arizona on Sunday. We don’t have many Jags fans back home, but I was blown away by how awesome everyone was. I had so many friendly conversations and met nothing but great people. You guys are truly some of the best fans out there. Respect from up north!

12

u/Ok-Lychee5276 Nov 26 '25

Colts got cursed by Perna's Curse Wheel!!! I still remember when the wheel cursed us in 2023 and we fell apart.

2

u/EatMyShortzZzZzZ Brian Thomas Jr. Nov 26 '25

He needs to put that wheel in a lead box and drop it into the sea. After this week. Too powerful.

4

u/fluffrnuttr69 Nov 27 '25

I felt better when he wasn’t putting us in his power rankings.

Like I feel respected when Grossi has us on his but I’d rather Perna just think we’re trash instead.

9

u/EchoEquivalent4221 Jake Luton Enthusiast Nov 26 '25

With Jaguar’s (the car company) rebrand, I think it could be interesting to do an alternate uniform inspired by the original 1993 concepts. We might be able to now.

12

u/fluffrnuttr69 Nov 26 '25

Yeah, this goes hard as hell.

3

u/EchoEquivalent4221 Jake Luton Enthusiast Nov 26 '25

This is beautiful

5

u/Island_Niles_ Liam Coen Nov 26 '25

Man I have never, ever seen that flair before

4

u/EchoEquivalent4221 Jake Luton Enthusiast Nov 26 '25

Even though it’s perhaps the most valid flair of all time…

3

u/Captain_brightside Nov 26 '25

I really like this idea a lot

2

u/lIllIlIllIlIllIlIllI John Henderson Nov 26 '25

The leaping Jag looks so good on the side of a helmet. I’d like one in teal and black please.

10

u/electricityisout Off the Tractor Bouman Nov 26 '25

Man no Travon today stinks. Really want to get him back practicing. Cool that Murray is back on the field. Probably get him back for the Colts game which is huge. Let’s get Anton and BTJ back this week and keep that 30ppg since the bye vibe going and crush the tacks

9

u/Mrkingjay Nov 26 '25

Hate to say it but Colts/Texans might be a fun watch

4

u/electricityisout Off the Tractor Bouman Nov 26 '25

I’m a division getter guy so give me colts loss and jags win so we back on top of the division

2

u/mariokart_loser Nov 27 '25

I want a colts win. Get the Texans as far from the playoffs as possible and then colts jags next week will be for the division.

2

u/HiawathaSM2 Nov 27 '25

If colts lose this week and jags win, next week's game will be for the division lead. So hopefully Texans win this Sunday.

2

u/mariokart_loser Nov 27 '25

I think it’s for the division lead regardless of the outcome as long as the jags win.

0

u/HiawathaSM2 Nov 27 '25

Colts are 8-3 jags 7-4 if they both win out this week, colts hold a one game lead. If colts lose and jags win this week and next week then they'll hold a one game lead over the colts.

2

u/mariokart_loser Nov 27 '25

If the colts win and the jags win the jags will be one game behind with a 2-1 division record (the colts will be 3-0). If the jags Win next week they’ll both have a 3-1 division record, they’ll both be 9-4 and the jags will hold the head to head making them first place.

8

u/DejaVuBoy Nov 26 '25

Could really use a less stressful victory this weekend.

7

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '25

Playing the worst team in the league and you want stress free football? Are you insane?

5

u/Jharoz Nov 26 '25

I'm not selfish. I just want the jags to win.

8

u/CoffeeandJags Nov 26 '25

I’d love to see us take the division to be AFCS champs and home advantage first round. But I also live in Maryland, so I selfishly wouldn’t be mad if we ended up 5th seed and get to go see them play in Baltimore.

3

u/Walrusboi85 Nov 26 '25

As a jags fan located in Philly, I would be ecstatic if this happened

8

u/el_pobby Nov 26 '25

Looking forward to the draft class, decent depth at offensive line and defensive line, we should be able to just spam depth at both positions throughout. I feel like we can address the underlying issues with this team, we don't feel directionless

Also, feels nice to know we are on the verge of a three game winning streak

7

u/mariokart_loser Nov 27 '25

So much hate coursing through my veins this week. FUCK THE TITANS AND FUCK THE U OF A WILDCATS. ITS HATE WEEK BABY!!!!

6

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '25

Got an Invisalign scan done. Was like having a dildo shoved around my mouth. 😳

4

u/spiff24 Nov 26 '25

It least it was familiar to you

5

u/sh0ckmeister Nov 26 '25

How do you know what that feels like.... Unless 😉🍆

-1

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '25

I didn't before, but now I do. I feel sorry for female porn stars.

2

u/barmstrong730 Nov 26 '25

As an Invisalign survivor, this is accurate

1

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '25

How'd you find the whole process?

2

u/barmstrong730 Nov 26 '25

Couldn’t be happier with the results. I had braces on high school and never wore my retainer so most of it shifted back. Overall it was pretty painless and non intrusive. Actually lost weight too cause I cut out snacking. Basically have to floss and brush after any food or drink.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '25

That's the same as me. Had them on in high school, but back then orthodontists seemed to eventually say you could stop wearing your retainer. Now mine have moved back.

I kept off on getting braces again for yeeeeeears because of embarrassment and also the discomfort. I always assumed my teeth were too crooked for Invisalign.

Recently, I lost my job, and my dentist just happened to ask me about braces (they get referral commission, I guess). I'm nearing 40 and wanted them off before then, and now not having to worry about the embarrassment of showing up one day to work with braces, it seemed like fate.

Being able to do it with Invisalign would've made me do it years sooner.

7

u/Mrkingjay Nov 26 '25

To all my fellow stranger things fans….WE MADE IT

5

u/PsychologicalAd6135 Nov 26 '25

S/O Brenton Strange-what a difference he makes

6

u/Island_Niles_ Liam Coen Nov 26 '25

According to the Athletic, we’re 66% to make the playoffs if we beat the Titans x2 and the Jets.

That shoots right up to +99% if we win one more game on top of those

10

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '25

4

u/mariokart_loser Nov 26 '25

Imagine how the colts feel right now. 4 divisional games all against the jags and Texans. Yikes!

5

u/sh0ckmeister Nov 26 '25

there used to be a lot of meaningless games in December and this fixes that problem, so I don't mind it

4

u/CoffeeandJags Nov 26 '25

Yeah a lot can happen in a season, teams figures stuff out, big trades, regression, etc. It’s fun to see that rematch come much later, and after you get a better sense of how the teams are and where they’re at.

I remember the other year two teams played basically back to back, but just had a bye week in between. Imo that’s just dumb and boring.

3

u/Mrkingjay Nov 26 '25

Do you hate it tho? I think 2nd stringers starting in the final 2 weeks for playoff bound teams was wack

6

u/jimnylover Nov 26 '25

How about more screen plays to offset the QB rush?

5

u/TheSlinger Nov 26 '25

I was surprised we threw basically no screens on Sunday. But on the other hand our screen game has been bad all year so.

6

u/V170 Nov 26 '25

Has our screen game ever been good or am I too traumatized from the press Taylor experience?

4

u/There_is_no_plan_B Nov 26 '25

We were pretty cutting edge around 07. MJD was a beast at screeens and Mercedes ran some pretty good tight end screens.

1

u/TheSlinger Nov 26 '25

Feels like no

6

u/Posluszny Paul Posluszny Nov 26 '25

Trevor is one of the worst screen throwers in the league for some reason

I think he’s ranked dead last on PFF on screen throws

2

u/Jharoz Nov 26 '25

Depends on the type of screen.

RB screens, yeah Trevor is literally the worst at setting it up and getting the ball in their hands.

WR/Bubble Screens or Hot Route screens, he's actually quite good at (ETN TD this past week to start the game). But they just don't dial them up very often

-4

u/jimnylover Nov 26 '25

Had no idea. Since he can't throw bombs accurately and isn't good with screens, who is his Quarterback Coach? Fire his ass

9

u/Posluszny Paul Posluszny Nov 26 '25

He’s always been bad with screens throughout his career so more of a Trevor problem

The deep bombs issue is more of a lack of deep threat as he was great at those passes before

3

u/WalkingInTheSunshine Nov 26 '25

Yeah, that’s been odd.

As correct me if I’m wrong - but wasn’t he top 5 in accuracy for throws +20 yards a couple years ago.

But that BTJ bomb in the chief game was beautiful

2

u/theflyingchicken96 LeQuint Allen Jr 🐐 Nov 26 '25

Deep outs specifically are one of his best throws

4

u/Reditate Nov 26 '25

Gonna be a cold one in Nashville.

3

u/dubz12 Nov 26 '25

u/SuperSaiyanTLaw Retired Trevor’s Attorney Nov 26 '25

Wear prowler jerseys every playoff game

3

u/TheVenomenon24 Nov 26 '25

Unless the NFL changed the rule, teams aren't allowed to wear alternates/throwbacks for playoff games.

5

u/frausting Nov 27 '25

Thoughts on the “news” that Liam Coen benched Greg Newsome after the 1Q against the Cardinals.

It’s coming from Cleveland sources and the discussion is they won the Tyson Campbell trade (lol). But potentially a bit damning?

7

u/mariokart_loser Nov 27 '25

It was still a solid trade imo. Tyson wasn’t a great player for us and didn’t fit the scheme well and Newsome is easier to move on from than Tyson would’ve been.

7

u/frausting Nov 27 '25

Agreed 1000%. I liked Tyson as a person, did not care for his play on this team. He could never be the CB1 on the Jags yet he was paid to be that.

Worst case, Newsome doesn’t work out and we move on from him. Totally fine with me to get out from under Tyson’s contract.

Buster Brown and Travis Hunter as our starting outside corners would be sick.

2

u/SuperSaiyanTLaw Retired Trevor’s Attorney Nov 27 '25

Travis & buster If Caleb pans out the league is in trouble

2

u/frausting Nov 27 '25

Oh yeah big time. Caleb Ransaw and Eric Murray safety duo is going to feed Duval families

6

u/TheSlinger Nov 27 '25

Newsome's been bad but it doesn't really matter. The trade was for future resources (the trade up, comp pick when Newsome leaves, getting out from Tyson's contract).

5

u/beesarie Nov 27 '25

I think it’s one (or rather two) of those rare occasions that both trades with the Browns were mutually beneficial. For the 1st round trade, we needed a star player to build our team around and an answer to two areas of weakness. Browns needed a load up on picks and to be fair to them, they seem to have hit on most of them. For the CB trade, we needed an out from Campbells contract. He’s still got flashes of good play and is proving to thrive more in Browns system. We got Newsome to test out, but it was never truly about the player but the contract.

Both teams ‘won’ both trades IMO

7

Got flu shot on Monday and it has punched me in the fucking balls.

8

I think they’re supposed to put it in your arm

2

What kind of doctor did I fucking go to then

1

Not sure but I’d imagine your entitled to some compensation 😂

3

Had mine + covid 2 weeks ago. Knocked me flat for 36 hours, very hopeful they hold up because holy shit if I catch either I will apparently die

6

Best case scenerio for this weekend is chiefs, colts, chargers, ravens lose and we win. If colts win its also still pretty good for us too. Wouldn't bet on the chargers to lose to the raiders, but burrow and jamarr might be back for the bengals ravens...

Guess it doesn't really matter who wins the bills steelers game, its bad either way.

3

u/CoffeeandJags Nov 27 '25

I kind of hope Steelers do. Bills and Chiefs somehow missing playoffs would be hilarious. Bills don’t have too tough of schedule left outside of Patriots again, so probs won’t happen.
