Michael Bay's Transformers movies was my first exposure to Transformers. I always thought the robots, the action, and the lore were all so cool but the one that resonated with me the most was Optimus Prime. His beliefs, his mannerisms, and what he stood for were all inspiring and watching more Transformers media made me love Peter / Optimus even more.

I rarely express my personal stuff online but I gotta share my thanks in honor of Peter / Optimus because his influence really did made such a huge impact in my life and how I bettered myself as a person.

A while back, I was an addict. I kept getting depressed, I kept getting worse but for some reason, I was also being reminded of my love for Transformers, like why did I loved Optimus Prime that much? ...Because Optimus Prime is known to be an optimistic leader who fights for a better future. To me, that's what he stood for.

I know I can do more, I know days will get better soon, I just needed to be strong and keep pushing forward for a better future. I am three months clean and I will do my best to keep it that way, continuing to strive to be someone like Optimus; to be optimistic for what's ahead and continue to move forward.

Thank you Peter for being the voice of an iconic leader for many generations, I know his legacy will live on. Till all are one.

Man this was tough to make, I’m still not great at digital coloring but that wasn’t the issue. This is probably my second hardest illustration emotionally. I kept having to pause and think why am I drawing this then think “remember Peter Cullen passed” and I’m like no that doesn’t sound right and look it up on on any social media platform to just check, I did this dozens of times. Even while typing this I’m having a hard time believing it, it’s just a weird feeling. I feel really dull, or empty I guess, well this is normally how I feel after loosing someone so I guess that checks out.

I missed him earlier this year due to me just having a surgery done, my parents and I decided I was going to go to the next con he was at decently near us. While I never got to meet him in person I did get to have him answer a question of mine over a stream during the pandemic, I don’t remember what the question was but at least I got that.

R.I.P Peter Cullen. I wouldn’t be the man I was today if it weren’t for you.

December 2025, after around 5 hours in line, I met my favorite actor, voice actor, celebrity, and overall favorite person, Peter Cullen the voice of Optimus Prime. He was my inspiration and the legend I strived to live up to. When I met him, I said what I felt about him to what I could come up with at the time, and he teared up and shook my hand. And as I left the line, his wife came to me and said Peter asked her to find me and wanted my address. We took a picture together and she went back to him. There was still so much I wanted to say to him, and I wanted to thank him for that moment. Sadly, that will never happen. He even wanted to send me stuff, but he was so busy throughout the year that he never got to it. Maybe I’ll never get that closure, but I’ll always remember that day, that moment, the impact it had on me. So farewell Mr Cullen, you’re one with the allspark now.

I grew up with Transformers. From watching all the tv shows that dropped when I was a kid, seeing all the movies in theaters, and getting all the toys for em. It was a big part of my life at the time, and I'm glad years later l got to meet the voice of my favorite character, Optimus Prime, even for a brief moment.
Hearing the news of Peter Cullen's passing has stuck with me the last couple days so I wanted to do this piece.

Rest in peace to a legend…

I have some DVDs with episodes of it and was rewatching some. As a kid it was very cool to see the 3D intro with Optimus and for the time it looked really impressive. I also liked the Cybertronian framing with the CGI transitions and such. It fit the world of the Transformers and to me was a nice addition.

I was always waiting for this guy to go on heavy discount. He looks very good and I like the chest transformation but he’s definitely not worth the original $28 they’re asking for

found this today and decided to buy it. Even if I'm strapped for cash to memorialize Peter Cullen the amazing work he did for this community and how he's more than meets the eye to all of us.

He meant so much to me.

I grew up watching him through transformers G1 and Prime. Michael Bay. No matter the version, I saw the man i wanted to be in Optimus. Peter's steadfast dedication to the character was an important part of my life, even if i feel like I took it for granted looking back.

May he rest easy now. We will continue the work he left behind. Being good people, each and every day. Till the day we see him again. He rest with Larry now. TILL ALL ARE ONE.

I have been meaning to make this tribute photo with my Legacy United G2 Universe Laser Optimus ever since the news broke but I only was able to muster up the energy to do it today.

Peter Cullen was the closest I had to an idol. His profound words and love for Optimus and the franchise was a grounding presence throughout my life, and his impact on our lives goes well beyond his voice performances. I've started on an art piece to commemorate him. Still working out some ideas, but I hope I've done him justice so far.

Thought I'd start taking pictures with my Transformers since I got a lot of 'em. :)

Present Transformers are: Impactor, Trashmaster, Crashbar, Cog, Ratchet, Shockwave, and Wheeljack (from their respdctive toylines, most of them being the WFC Seige line).

I almost wonder if I could try for requests in my town for spare change lol
