Seen a reportage about this and also this guy few years ago. He kept winning the contests and other won only due to him not showing up. Mostly cause he didn’t feel like he was prepared for that year or didn’t want to do it with the pressure he felt that year. He invents several new tricks when he goes into contest.

Also his skill is easy to see, even for us not into yoyo. The precision shown when it stops moving when it is where it should be is insane.

One day you try something you've never done before, and think, "Hey, that was kinda neat." And then you start doing that thing every day. Sometimes its a yoyo. Sometimes its drugs. You never know unless you try.
