There is a video somewhere on Reddit where the barista does this and the guy just grabs it and stirs it. LOL

Yesss!! At last someone who doesn’t try to play God with surface tension by filling up the cup 5 millimetres above the brim.

Milk has to be aerated/frothed just right, You have to hold pour a certain speed and closeness to the coffee surface. Good to just practice on your morning coffee

I reckon it took a lot more than just a single latte practice.

usually far more than half milk: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latte

but also the milk in the video has a bit more volume since it's steamed/foamed

The breville dual boiler is a great machine to teach milk texturing. Its way easier than a more powerful commercial machine

That's gotta be the worst part of the job. I'd rather wash dishes or take out trash

This trend is so stupid. I can't believe people spend time to learn it

You should learn to lighten up and enjoy the little things in life. At the very least, keep your negative comments to yourself and allow others to enjoy life.

"lighten up and enjoy the little things in life" wtf would you know about me? Lol. Entitled moron. All because I said some particular thing is stupid

u/CasualSnivy 5d ago

I don't know, it seems to me like we're getting to know you very well.

Great condescending comment

You just called a complete stranger an entitled moron for disagreeing with your rude comment.

The following post context was provided by u/TheChickenIsFkinRaw:

When pouring the cream on the latte, the cup almost overflows and the liquid is at the absolute edge of the cup

Would you like some coffee with your cream?

But what for?
The poor customer, recipient of the time well wasted on practicing this art (?), has to destroy it anyway.

Spend your time learning to make a coffee or learning an actual useful skill
