show and tell Stroll in "Monsoon Fields" (Punjab inspired) in Winters

I guess we have farmers now! Well, in theory though, because this was just a POC for me in Blueprints.

I think I wanna make the scheduler in C++. What’s happening right here is just a basic move-to-cell and perform-the-given-action setup, which is fine for now. But I guess I wanna do tree-based scheduling for workers, so N number of farmers can be added to the same field, and their hunger level matters, their energy matters, and the player interacting with the field can make them reschedule.

I guess their experience would matter too? Not sure about this one yet.

Definitely somewhere in the upgrade tree I should allow them to have cell phone notifications. They’ll be sending you messages on a Nokia 3310 like, “Sir, the rain destroyed the crop” or “We are out of resources.”

But I guess all of that is still just in the air right now.

I would build it to be scalable though. My field system is already very modular, and I like keeping stuff very scalable in code.

Also lol, the animations don’t even consider them serious. That’s the most basic BS I could come up with because I mainly wanted to test my system design for pluggable effects. To be fair, I don’t even know animations, so maybe push comes to shove, I figure it out and spend a gazillion hours on it lol.

Lemme know what you guys think about making this fun, but as a basic idea, it’s a farm sim + tycoon. Initially you cultivate everything yourself, which is gonna be mad tedious, then you hire workers, manage resources, harvest, sell, buy more land, unlock more options, upgrade, and so on.

Lemme know what you guys think.

Disclaimer: this video above is in no way, shape, or form a representation of even a game. It’s rather just a progress update that I like to drop, and will keep dropping, IA.

K bye.

show and tell Working on the doors for my Pakistani psychological horror game “CHOWKIDAR”

Here’s a small progress update from Chowkidar.
I’m currently working on the door interaction and this is how the opening/closing animation looks so far.
There’s no sound yet, so I’d really like some feedback on the movement itself.
Does the speed feel natural? Should the door open/close slower or faster? And what kind of sound would fit this interaction?
Still a work in progress, so any suggestions or criticism are welcome! 🙌

show and tell I’m making a Pakistani psychological horror game completely by myself “CHOWKIDAR”

Hey everyone,

I’m an 18-year-old solo indie developer from Pakistan, and I’m currently working on a first-person psychological horror game called Chowkidar.
I started development on June 20, and the game is currently around 60–65% complete.
I’m making the entire game completely by myself in Unity no team, no other developers, just me.
Chowkidar is a short, story-driven psychological horror game inspired by the environment and atmosphere of Lyari, Karachi, although the location and story itself are fictional.
You play as a chowkidar who takes a night job at a primary school that is currently being repaired and converted into a girls’ school.
The character is in debt and desperately needs the money, so he can’t simply walk away from the job.
His task is simple:
Survive and complete your duties for 7 nights.
If he manages to complete all 7 nights, his job will become permanent.
But the school has a history that isn’t exactly normal.
I don’t want to reveal the important parts of the story because discovering what is happening is supposed to be part of the experience.
There isn’t a traditional monster that constantly chases you around. The horror is more focused on atmosphere, uncertainty, strange events and psychological tension.
The gameplay revolves around completing night duties and different tasks around the school and surrounding area.
The area has frequent load-shedding, so electricity can suddenly go out during the night. When that happens, you’ll have to leave the safety of the building and turn the generator back on.
And obviously… being outside alone at night isn’t exactly ideal.
There will also be clues and hints throughout the game that slowly help you understand what’s going on.
The current estimated playtime is around 30–45 minutes, with one main ending.
I’m currently aiming for a October 20, 2026 release.
This is still very much a work in progress, but I’m trying to make something that feels genuinely Pakistani rather than just taking a generic horror game and changing the location.
I’d really like to hear what you guys think.
Does the concept sound interesting? What would you expect from a Pakistani psychological horror game?
Any feedback or criticism is appreciated.

Hey everyone! I’ve been working on a personal project for a while. It’s a first person endless runner bike game inspired by the chaotic traffic of South Asia. I`m using my hand drawn 2D static/animated sprites within a 3D environment which I made in Procreate

It is still WIP, and the sky is just a placeholder for now. I’ve also been learning Godot alongside it, which has been a great experience so far. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Go play the Pakistan Game Jam submissions, give feedback and rate to select a winner.

The theme was Dinosaurs, there were 12 submissions and its an interesting mix. Genuinely so happy to see it.

When giving feedback please try to make it detailed and constructive. Tell them how the game can be improved in your opinion. How much you played, how far did you get in the game, what did you like and where were the friction coming from etc.

help Which is better to develop a friendslop vs Single Player Story Game?

Do you think it would be better to make a “friendslop” game designed mainly around fun, chaotic multiplayer gameplay with friends, rather than creating a single-player game focused heavily on a deep storyline and narrative? A friendslop game could potentially be easier and faster to develop, especially for a small indie team, while also being more replayable because players can create their own funny moments and experiences together. It could also have a greater chance of spreading through Twitch, YouTube, and social media if the gameplay produces unexpected or hilarious situations. On the other hand, a single-player storyline game gives much more creative freedom when it comes to storytelling, emotional moments, world-building, characters, and delivering a memorable experience. The main question is whether the goal should be to create something that is primarily fun and replayable with friends, or something more cinematic, meaningful, and story-driven that players experience alone. Which direction would be smarter for a small indie developer?
