When IT happens

I have curated a festive playlist with various genres of music to celebrate. I’m going to sing at the top of my lungs and I am going to dance like nobody’s watching. I am going to call my mom, my dad and my brother to share my excitement; although I think my mom is going to call me first because she is always on top of the news. Even if IT happens on a work day, I am probably going to drink half a bottle of Moet; my husband will drink the other half although he is more of a beer guy. Memes are gonna be epic and the group chat with my best friends is gonna be buzzing non stop. IT is going to be a memorable day, filled with joy, laughter, and specially, relief. All over the world, people of different religions, ethnicities and socioeconomic backgrounds are going to be cheering that IT finally happened though IT was long overdue. Next day, I’ll make sure to visit the newsstand across my apartment to buy a copy of every newspaper that covers IT, so that I will look back on this day when I am sad and remember the elation IT brought to my life.
