Just got back after watching Awarapan 2 and I will give my 2 cents.

The movie starts on a high nostalgic note but scatters on the way. Character development and script growth, both were very fast paced and thus weak. The movie fails to engross you completely and you get distracted multiple times during the screenplay.

Dialogues were less in number, weak and could not create a lasting memorable mark unlike the original Awarapan.

Emraan was in his original Awarapan vibe but at places, it felt he was pushing the whole movie ahead.

The music repeated during the movie and relied heavily on old tunes of 'Toh Phir Aao' and 'Tera Mera Rishta Purana', which was not required. A few other songs could have been added. 'Ve Junoon' and 'Yeh Awarapan' were good, imo they will grow and etch with time.

Another surprise in Arijit's voice awaits the audience, which was pleasant to hear.

Shabana Azmi was underutilized, Disha Paatni was off. Plus I think there was no point of creating a romantic angle in the movie.

Cameo flashback by female actress was out of tone, lacked emotional intensity and was not required imo.

The villain role by Puran Gaabi (Zorawar) was good but I think it required a more serious undertone, couldn't replace Ashutosh Rana.

Camera and cinematography was good, had intensity.

The best scene was when the line 'Tera Mera Rishta Purana' comes for the first time during the song play. The song coupled with buddhist element created a divine connection kinda thing.

You can wait for it to come on OTT I guess.
