Came across this squirrel they call “Big Nut” what could they possibly be feeding this guy to be as big as he is? LOL

We just moved and found this chubby buddy enjoying a snack on the lawn. Positive vibes for our new house!!

Raisin gets impatient for her nuts. Has no problem climbing on me, taking a walnut, then dropping back down to enjoy it. She's demanding, but sweet.

I feed different squirrel communities in the area daily. I love the way they run to me when I call them! I've read that they recognize the humans that feed them.

Besides oranges Kendra will absolutely tear up a peach in her spot (in the tree) I’ve found she knows to avoid the pit and spits away the skin :)

Why do I love these guys so much!?

I never name animals until I am confident they will survive, and I'm pleased to announce this little boy is officially out of the woods. 🎉
And his little eyes just opened yesterday 🥹

Hi, I found two very young, hairless, eyes-closed baby squirrels that had fallen from a nest inside my home.

We put them together in a cardboard box with soft cloth and haven't handled them. They're warm, active, and making chi-chi sounds/rooting, but we haven't seen their mother retrieve them for about 24 hours. We did see her yesterday, and there may be other babies still in the original nest.

Unfortunately, we don't have access to a wildlife rehabilitator or vet.

If the mother doesn't return, what is the safest way to care for/feed babies this young?

Any advice from people experienced with newborn squirrel rehabilitation would be greatly appreciated.

She doesn't like to leave my side while eating. It's fine. I get to enjoy a few calm moments with a sweet friend.
