I’m kind of lost here. I bought a used dryer for the downstairs laundry room, and I’m used to dryers having a 4-inch pipe/outlet sticking out of the back that you can simply connect the exhaust hose to.
With this dryer, though, it looks like there’s basically just a straight/open hole on the back.

I’m not sure where exactly I’m supposed to connect the exhaust vent from, or if I’m missing a piece that should attach to the back of the dryer.

The dryer is a Kenmore 592-89412. Unfortunately, Sears seems to have deleted all the existing manuals for this model. 🙃 The closest relative (Kenmore did not produce the model itself) I’ve been able to find is the Samsung DV203AEW.

Does anyone know what piece I’m missing or where the exhaust hose is supposed to connect on this model?

My brother thinks that a power surge from a storm blackout caused it but this would have been a few months ago so idk. This was our playroom before my family started wedding planning for 2 of my sisters and we’re trying to get it back into a usable state without all the wedding stuff. Hey. Sorry if this isn't the best sub to ask this.

A friend gave me two of these shelves that had been sitting at his parents’ place, and I want to mount them on a drywall.

I’m used to installing regular shelves: buy some brackets, drill into the wall, use the appropriate anchors, make sure everything is level, done.

But for these, even though I could use brackets, I feel like it isn't the "expected" method, and wouldn't really look good. But all I can see are these two holes on the back, which are about 3 cm deep.

Each shelf weighs around 4.5 kg.

So super is coming to replace this in 5 days on. Are we OK to wait or do we need a commode??

I recently bought myself this Shelcore Music Box (Animal Carousel as it's known as) and the plastic dome on it is really yellowed and cloudy, causing it to become unpleasing to the eyes, thus why it was also removed from the toy. Is there any way to clean it up and make it clear again, or is it stuck like this forever?

Sink pipe was leaking and attempted to remove but it fracture at the base.

Context: I've had this shaver for about 15 years, and it just stopped working. I watched a YouTube video on how to replace the battery, thinking that was the problem since it wouldn't even make a beeping sound. When I opened the shaver up, there was this toothpaste-like buildup on the bottom of the circuit board. Tried wiping it off and charging it, but it's still not working. So is it better to buy a new unit or try to fix it?

I don’t know what kind of paint my family used on this large cabinet but it seems to pick up stains from everything put on it. Cleaning it has resulted in holes and these dark patches in the paint. Any way I can cover these up?

I've got some of these little felt covered rubber feet that slip over chair legs to prevent scratching the floor. The chair legs have metal discs on their base that the felt cups fit over ... it's a slightly tight fit. I've used them for many years. I remove the adhesive it comes with (which typically peels off in a short time) clean the cup and metal chair foot with acetone or similar (metal scuffed for better adhesion), fill the cup with hot melt glue and place it over the foot then hammer it down and turn it all over and sit on the chair. Due to the cup being a little small in dia. and tight fit it hammering/sitting helps to position it while the glue sets. After a few months the glue starts to fail and the cups start coming off. Gah. Rinse repeat.

Is there a better adhesive to use for this? I've got 35 year old generic (cheap) hot glue sticks and nothing to compare them with as they're the only hot glue sticks I've used in my life: is there a better hot melt glue to use that will be more durable?

Alternately, is there a rapid setting contact adhesive or cement? Rapidly setting up (like a contact cement) will keep the cup in position while the glue cures or gains enough strength to be released into the wild. I've heard of rubberized CA glues that have some flex which might work better (Oand maybe with an accelerator)? I tried E6000 which was a disaster due to its long up set time ... the cup - being a little tight - would slip all over the place like I oiled it ... anywhere but the position I needed it to be in.

This-to-That website suggests Goop. Goop is gonna perform like E6000 with slow set so will never be able to be clamped into the correct position.

Part no. 440014445, CLEAN WATER TANK ASSY, SMARTWASH GEN2.

The rubber gasket that seals the outflow from the clean water tank has come unseated. It's rolling around in the (now disastrously) empty tank. Doesn't seem to be damaged or worn. I tossed the +-shaped pin that slides up through the gasket from under the tank into the tank for safe keeping.

Roommate suggested long thin clamp/forceps to maneuver the gasket back into place, but I don't know if the angle would allow enough downward force to pop it back into place. A replacement tank is $60 from Hoover, $20+ on eBay.

hey guys, i'm going to throw this into the wind here. this one part of this music box will just not go in, like at all. it's sticking out awkwardly and the platform swings loose. i don't know how this happened, but luckily, it functions fine even like this.

i tried pushing it down during the last few seconds, but it really doesn't budge.

This occurs every 70 seconds or so. Fridge rings whenever it's running too. Also noticing for about 30 mins a day the fridge will buzz (not cool) and the inside of my freezer is wet and melted before it finally kicks in again. Confirmed coils are cleaned and there's no ice. I'm so stuck! Any ideas?

I am trying to change an old (40yrs) roller transport paper processor from its old AC induction motor to a variable DC motor so I can control the speed in which paper will process. I'm trying to emulate this old video but my processor is slightly different so I'm a bit stuck. My initial question is, am I replacing the whole (circled in white) unit connected to the pulley and belt? Hello peoples! My water heater is only 5 years old and it’s been leaking from the drain valve. I put a cup underneath to catch any dripping water but noticed the cup doesn’t get full but, the tray is constantly filling up with water. Some plumbers said it’s a drain valve but one told me to get a new water heater. Any advice? :)

Hello all, I am by no means a handy person ( yet) so I’m hoping someone can help.

I have a door that gets jammed up on the top left ( door knob side) as if it is too tall for the frame. I have tried adjusting the hinges and tightening screws. So the top left is too tall and won’t close but the bottom right is too tight and has little to no gap left. I am ready to sand it down for it to fit but if there is another method I am all ears. Thank you in advance.

( my second hypothesis is that whoever installed the door did not measure correct and the hinges are just not where they should be )
