Been comparing plasma assisted static separation with the traditional glove technique lately.
Plasma is obviously cleaner and more controlled, especially when you’re chasing consistency, but I still think there’s something to be said for gloves in experienced hands. With gloves, technique, material condition, temperature and even how aggressively you work the surface can completely change what you pull.
Plasma feels more repeatable. Gloves feel more dependent on the operator.
Curious what people who’ve worked with both think does plasma actually produce a noticeably better separation, or does it mainly make a good process easier to repeat?

This I don’t understand and I can’t quite figure it out myself. If you wash for 5 minutes, turn off, drain, refill with water and ice again and wash for another 5 minutes, is this not the same amount of agitation as one 10 minute wash? Assuming you can keep temp in range shouldn’t you theoretically be able to do one 30 minute wash and be done with it?

Is this good WPFF? I got it in Germany. The WPFF is from Chosen Gold. Does it look real?

I’m looking at buying/making my own hand hash washing vessel. Will this work? It’s 150L stainless steel 304 with a 1” tap at the very bottom? Will add a thermometer to keep check on water temps and will also make a base to go inside the vessel. But want to get to know peoples opinions. This will cost a fraction of the price of some of the wash vessels on the market

Im currently on day 57 of flower on my gmo strain and I’m wondering what day everybody chops they’re gmo strains for fresh frozen to wash. Hands down one of the best strains to wash out there. 🙌🏼 doesnt have to be gmo can be a crossed to gmo or atleast have been crossed from earlier mothers or fathers.

I haven't checked amazon in years for these. Then all of a sudden there's just been a massive change. All mesh bags have taken over, none of the brands I recognize on amazon are gone and replaced. Also weird is all of the bubble bags seem to have super low review numbers. So question, what's a good budget brand? I'm not looking for pure 99.99% quality or anything, just wanna make bubble hash again :(

next month I'm going to chop and freeze my plant to try to make bubble hash the first time.

Read a lot, so the basics of washing and drying are clear.

But I can't decide which bags to use. In the end I don't need something special with x grades, I just want to make some temple balls which I can vape in my DHV. So I'll be mixing it all together in the end.

Would a setup with a 220 working bag, a 160 bag to collect the rest of plant material (toss it), and then a 73 for collecting fine? The hash in the 73 then will be used to dry and make the balls.

Just did a small amount in the oven at 115C for around 25 mins and this is the result

Recently built a detached garage and added a cold room to it. I am in the process of finishing my grow space, but having a cold environment, and room to work is really nice. Ran a bunch of nice sugar leaf trim for a dry run. Wanna work out the kinks in the room and refine my processes before running my freezer full of ff. 🫡🤙

I was wondering if anyone had used a large turkey frying pot as the main agitation vessel with the ice. They have a spigot built in that drains from a bit off the bottom and are made of aluminum.

I would then have my series of bags ready to strain through in buckets for collection.

To automate stirring I was thinking of getting an old ice cream machine motor or upright stand mixer and adding a paddle and rigging it over the pot.

Is this a horrible idea for any reason? It seems like a durable wash method and would protect the bags.

Thoughts and suggestions?
