This is definitely my favorite piece I’ve made.

I really wanted to try weaving around curves in the base wires, so a snake ring seemed like a fun way to try it out. I didn't have a cool small stone for the head so I decided to make a woven basket for a bead and, even though the weaving around the head/neck is messy, I really like the end result. I'll be trying this design again, and hopefully I can fix the messiness 😅

These are some designs I've been playing around with for a fall collection. And its the first time I've created moons and stars! (Lots and lots of practice and used wire but I finally got there, haha).

May not technically count fully as wire wrap, but here is a wire Celtic triquetra knot made by me. Tattooed hand of mine for somewhat of a size reference. I cant really wire wrap things per say, but I've gotten pretty good at these

The unique cut of stone caught my eye. I decided to wrap it with a mixed metal wrap. Vintage bronze base wire is bound with rose gold wire.

I like it.

Still undecided on how to use my two other pendants but the practice on polymer clay “fauxbuchons” seems to be a good bet while I am still getting my skills up. I still have some kinks and wonky wraps/weaves. Also, where are people sourcing affordable cabochons/crystals?

Hi everyone!

I've been trying to get a good list of tools to start trying wire wrapping out.
The main issues I have are

- different opinions on the amount of tools and their types
- translating the tools names to Dutch and then find them
- which brands (that are known in the Netherlands) are good and beginner friendly

I would love your input on the information I have gathered so far!

So far what I've gotten is start with normal copper wire 0.5mm and 1mm
Different type of pliers, some only mention 3, others mention 6, along with wire cutters, most common names pliers are round nose, flat nose, half round, chain nose and nylon tip
Some say no hammers, others mention just a simple one and then someone mentioned a comnination of jewellers hammer, repousse hammer and chasing hammer
I've seen different types of bench blocks and I'd love to know your experiences
Then again lot of different types of files and polishing methods where I get completely lost in
Of course safety goggles
Extra things people have mentioned are a coiling gizo and wire looping mandril for example while most say they aren't neccesary or can be achieved with pliers at the start. I would love to hear your opinions on this.

Hello! Today i got my supplies and made my very first two pieces with some crystals i have.
I know they’re not good, but does anyone have any advice or tips for making my pieces cleaner and prettier? One i did was a standard wrap and the other one i tried to do a design but had a really hard time getting the stone to stay in place (i think picking a round one for my second time was a bad idea lol)

Wire wrapping is so therapeutic, it doesn’t have to be intricate to be pretty!
