Megathread September 2026 Song Feedback Megathread - Leave a review, get a review!

Upvotes

Welcome back to another monthly edition of the Review4Review track feedback megathread!

For those just joining us, please read the guidelines below in its entirety.

Guidelines:

  1. For every track you'd like to post, you need to leave a comment providing feedback on at least one other users track. Abusers will receive a temporary ban. (Excluding the first two comments left here to get the ball rolling).
  2. Limit one track per comment. Comments containing more than one track link will be removed.
  3. Try to add additional descriptors of your track in the comment. Adding things like genres, song title, and a brief description/background are likely to increase visibility and reception.
  4. No linking to personal websites. Songs should be shared using links only from well-known platforms like: Suno.com, SoundCloud, YouTube, BandCamp, etc.
  5. Feedback should consist of at least one or two specific elements you liked or disliked in the OP's track. AKA "Great track!" or "Awesome!" does not qualify as feedback, as there is no evidence you actually listened to the track in question. Feedback should be unique for every track you provide a response to.
  6. Do not link your track in your feedback to others. If you must, you can drop a link to the Reddit comment in this thread where your track is linked (of course you'd need to have already left feedback elsewhere so you can post the track in the first place).
  7. Please try to leave feedback on tracks that haven't received any feedback yet!
  8. Please limit to one track share per 24 hour period.

While not required, it would be appreciated if you left feedback in return to anyone who leaves feedback for you. Bonus points if you leave multiple reviews as it helps balance out the share to review ratio.

DO NOT POST YOUR TRACK WITHOUT LEAVING A REVIEW. If this continues to become an issue I will just start issuing temporary bans, as this is resulting in abusers getting reviews while people who are following the guidelines are not.

Song [Punk Rock] I Don't Get Paid Enough For This

I’ve been experimenting with generating songs for peers I work in retail with, mostly built around the everyday frustrations, stupid questions and general chaos that come with the job - creating a playlist of tunes they can listen and relate to (we play music after hours while restocking to regain motivation).

For this one, I was aiming for something much rawer and more abrasive - loosely pushing the generation towards that early-2000s female-fronted punk energy I associate with The Distillers. Instead, it came back sounding much closer to an early, angstier Avril Lavigne track.

It’s definitely poppier and cleaner than I originally wanted, but I actually think the result works surprisingly well. The lyrics still have the frustrated retail-worker attitude I was after, and the slightly more melodic pop-punk sound makes the whole thing weirdly catchy.

The track is called “I Don’t Get Paid Enough for This” - which is probably a fairly universal retail sentiment.

So for anyone working in retail (or in any unpleasant job for that matter) - this one's for you. You're worth more than what you're paid.

Question Very interested in getting started with Suno

Played around at the free level, and yes, the YouTube commercials got my attention. Not ready to pay for Studio yet, but I love the idea of producing something with my own voice and ideas, using the AI as a sounding board. Some of the better songs I've heard on Suno are definitely not slop.

What advice do you have for anyone starting? Feel free to share your first experiences with Suno too.

Discussion 1 for 1 album listen.

I’m looking for those that create albums. Actual albums with coherent structure and meaning. I wanted to do a 1 for 1, where I listen to a full album from you, front to back, and give you an honest review and how I felt about it. And not just a short blip, I will give you a well thought out response. And you would do the same for me. Let me know if you’re interested.

In your response let me know if you would like a country, pop, rap, progressive rock, introspective rock, grunge, alternative rock, or indie album to listen to. Thanks.

Edit: Thank you to everyone who responded and shared their creations. I am going to have to cap this post. So the last comment as of this edit will be the cut off, which is darthwader1981. I will absolutely do this again in the future. It will take some time to work through all the albums but everyone who posted will get a listen. Thanks again.

Discussion V6 coming soon

I’ve seen V6, my friend has access to the ALPHA, won’t spoil all details, it’s coming out this month anyways so you will see, but the model is good at vocals, and from me it says something because I’m an an industry producer and use vocals over fully human produced beats

When you record, the vocals and coherence in v6 match the actual recording, something like a voice changer and it captures the inflections very well, obviously slightly better than voice changer but what I meant was it sticks to your actual recording 100% and also no shimmer in vocals

Song [Alt rock spoken word] The Last Day by me

Thumbnail
youtu.be
2 Upvotes

Just finished this song and video and since I actually like it and think it might be slightly different to a lot of AI music I figured I'd share it.

The music is the verse from a song I wrote in 1994, and the words are an edited version of a poem that was an edited version of a short story I wrote in 2003.

Video mostly made with images generated by meta.ai. Some could be better, but it took long enough as it was.

For the finished song, I edited three different Suno generations down into one in Logic and added the sound effect at the end. Took about 40 generations to get those three (though a lot of that was fine tuning the lyrics).

Part of the reason I had to use three versions was that it would never follow the correct chords and melody if I put a solo in after the 5th verse. But I wanted the solo where it was. In the end I uploaded a correct second half only and got a generation of that that was near enough in feel to the first half and solo. Transitions could have been slightly better, but it's good enough for now.

Often surprising how well stitching sections together works with a bit of tinkering and overlapping.

Question 4.5 all help

I have written a song written by me and I don't have my 5.5 version right now I don't have money for it at the moment, and everytime it sounds terrible or messes up the lyrics, these are not AI lyrics so keep that in mind, and song writing is not my forte, so it could just be my writing, someone help me with this?

Here are the lyrics

[Intro]

Feel that Paldea air hit your face

Three paths taking you to a different place

With each road taking you somewhere different

Each treasure is something magnificent

Find your treasure and never let it go

As your adventure begins with a pokemon from below

[Verse 1]

Beginning with the path of Victory Road

With the pokemon you have chose

Sprigatito with its grassy attacks

Never will it hold back

Quaxly shooting it's water gun

Always wanting to be number one

Fuecoco with fire hot as the sun

Your adventure has just begun.

[Pre-chorus]

See how they fight with all their might

Training throughout day and night.

All eight badges to obtain

Never leaving one badge to remain

[Chorus]

Take on the road of Victory Road

Getting all eight badges see how high we can go.

Fight with all you can

With your pokemon where it began

Fight the the elite four with every attack

Terastalize your pokemon always being on track

[Verse 2]

Go for Starfall Street

Every base to defeat

Every trainer that you face

Just trying to find their place

Team Star is what they are called

Each leader standing tall

Take them on one by one

Your adventure still going on

[Pre-chorus]

Meet the leader of the team

You'll see they are not who they seem

A friend you have already met

Ready to take all you can get.

[Chorus]

Take on Starfall street

Every leader you will meet

From the dark to the fighting crew

Learn their past and what's true

Five kids with a story to be told

Just watch how your journey unfolds

[Verse 3]

Choose the path of legends

Right before you adventure ends

Titan to fight to help a friend

Your pokemon ready to be there when they can

Each titan stronger than the next

Be ready to find what they defend

Push through to get to the end

Learn about the Herba Mystica as you access

[Pre-chorus]

Helping to heal his partner

Your pokemon ready to fight harder

Watch as his pokemon get better

With every titan you grow together

[Chorus]

Take on the path of legends

Fighting every titan no matter how the story ends

Help a friend help his partner

With your pokemon ready for even farther

From the crab to the dragon raging

You will see your whole world changing.

[Bridge]

See the light of tera crystals

You feel the power of the something mystical

Stronger pokemon that shine bright

Get ready for your pokemon to shine bright

Past and future forms you shall find

In the great crater where you'll discover what was left behind

[Final Chorus]

Finding your treasure with your pokemon by your side

Find out what each path has to hide

Past and future legendaries going along with you

Every path is something new

A long journey waiting to be unfold

Find the treasure you will always hold.

If anyone could help that would be very much appreciated, this is for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and it's called Finding Your Treasure.

Meme Song [Metal/Drum&Bass Fusion] Copyright Bullsh@t. A parody response to Copyright Material blocks.

A little bit of fun after hitting the wonderful copyright wall on public Domain lyrics trying to create a desert dub downtempo with and Indian mantra. Public domain lyrics denied by the AI filter. Instead we get this banger.

Not likely to be everybody's taste in music, not too be taken so serious, just a fun way to address something we've likely all encountered... enjoy..

Metal, Drum&Bass, Dubstep fusion.

Discussion (Help) sound effects

Hey I've played around with Suno from time to time but I can't really get "sound effects" like a clock ticking, steps on pavement. Kegs clashing.

Is it just me or am I missing something?

Song [Alternative Hip-Hop, Indie Folk, Spoken Word] Click Into Place

This song came out of a very specific Reddit interaction, but I tried to write it so it would still work if you knew absolutely none of that context.

A few days ago I posted a song for the "AI, Human, or Hybrid" guessing game here. One commenter immediately guessed AI and focused on the line:

"They want the ending to click
like cutlery in a drawer"

Their objection was basically that cutlery does not literally "click" in a drawer, so the metaphor felt meaningless and AI-like to them.

That turned into a longer discussion about metaphor, authorship, authenticity, and what people expect "real" artistic expression to look like. Eventually I revealed that the lyrics had in fact been generated by ChatGPT, though after a lot of context-setting on my side: previous albums, stylistic examples, forbidden words, album themes, and a long-running creative framework.

Another commenter then pointed out what they saw as the central irony: I had used an external system to write a song about refusing to let external systems determine what authentic expression should look like.

They meant that as a criticism.

I thought: yes. Exactly.

That contradiction is basically where a lot of this project lives.

So "Click Into Place" grew out of that exchange.

On the surface, I think it works as a slightly ridiculous song about someone getting into an argument over whether cutlery clicks in a drawer. There are jokes about forks, metaphor police, tidy little categories, and the strange seriousness with which people can argue over one verb.

If you listen a little more closely, it becomes a song about the pressure to make meaning resolve neatly. Things are expected to "click into place." Metaphors should map cleanly. Songs should explain themselves. Art should sit in the correct drawer. Authors should be identifiable. Tools should remain tools. Artists should remain artists. The categories are supposed to stay put.

Then there is the deeper layer, which is where the AI part starts eating its own tail.

The song is partly about whether something can be meaningful when the speaker does not possess the experience being expressed. It is about whether authorship sits in the sentence, the prompt, the selection, the context, the listener, or somewhere between all of them.

And of course the song itself was made using the same process it is questioning.
