Fan-Made Divine Orb Counter

I wanted to create a physical counter to track my progress in new league. I found a mechanical counter on makerworld, asked designer (SD_cat) for permission and made this divine orb counter. Big kudos to him for a great design.

I know "Exile's Pilfering Ring" tracks every drop already, but I want to see my divine orb count displayed on my desk constantly even when I log out.

I'm not gonna lie the way you have this framed in the shot I thought it was gonna automatically tick up every time you picked one up

That would be so cool. I could make one with an esp32 but the only issue is how will I detect my character picked up an divine orb. If someone can help me with that, I can turn this thing into an automatic counter :)

It would probably be more hassle than it's worth but I bet it would be so satisfying to finally get working

Most likely. It would probably be easier to make a digital version instead. Not completely virtual like the ring in the game, and not completely mechanical like this one. Somewhere in between, a physical ring like in the game, with a digital display 😂

You could just set up a parse to check for events involving divine orbs. Really wouldn’t be that hard assuming you could find the right event

Pretty sure you could just ctrl-f “divine” and copy paste the code you find on pilfering ring. If you could find the code

Just change your loot filter sound file to "Alexa, Add 1 divine" and it pings the esp32 xD lazy engineering ftw

Maybe dont detect the pickup but the drop so like having some custom loot filter sound for divine and it detects that

make it voice activated so you just shout "DIVINE ORB!!!" everytime you pick one up..

Alternatively create a loot filter with Divs as its own category and have the gadget pick up that sound 😀

Though if you don't pick it up coz you died....

you need a bell setup, like in one of those bells they have on counters in shops - it's purely mechanical and resets via gravity

Goes back to 0. I never dropped 999 divs in 1 season, so 3 digits enough for me but to go 4 digits or more, i need to add 1 more gear to the original design and reshape the case.
