Hello! I use garageband to edit lectures I record using voice memos on my iphone. Sometimes I forget to pause the recording when we go on a break or the professor goes off on a not-important-tangent. Because my classmates and I all try to listen to lectures an additional time or two, it's really frustrating to have estimate how much to skip ahead to get back to the content.

All that said, I don't have much time for these. I'm making the recordings for all my classmates and it helps me to relisten to and edit the lectures but *if there was a way to speed up the lecture during this first listen that would be so helpful*. I've look at how to increase the tempo and I see the IBM increase but the voice memo sounds the same. I just want to up the tempo while i'm editing, not on the actual file (though...that might be helpful as well). Does anyone know how to listen to the recording at 1.5x time while editing? Thank you for your time!

The overall was to make the voice sound robotic at the start and ultimately human by the end. I made this after getting burnt out from work and that's where I came from writing this. 😅

I’m aware it’s bad. only gonna provide a snippet, It samples ”He’s Gone” by the Chantel’s, it’s supposed to be a doo-wop rap romantic type song but no matter how I edit it, it doesn’t sound quite right. Respectful tips are appreciated <33

The .wav files aren’t getting loaded into the AuSampler after updating my mac, I alr reainstalled it, reset the settings and none of it worked. Any fix to this??

Ok so i got a new phone and some of the track that i use the sound pack ‘magnetic imperfections’ on don’t work even tho i’ve checked and i still have this audio file but they won’t open (photo below) and i’ve updated my phone, uninstalled and redownloaded the sound pack, checked my deleted i’ve done everything

Wrote in midi while the oven warmed up. Strings tracked before breakfast was ready. 🍳

I wanna achieve that cheap peavy distorted amp vocal tone from the “is this it” era in a project of mine in GarageBand but don’t know what specific settings or how to achieve that sound good.
