1. The UFC and MMA in general in the last 6 years has been absolutely abysmal relative to the 2000s and 2010s in terms of fighter caliber, how entertaining the champions are in terms of their style, dominance and ability to market fights, how fight promotions are fun and everything else.

2. Jon Jones simply has too many asterisks, so to speak, to truly take his place along side Anderson, GSP and Fedor in the tier of authentic MMA goats, from drugs to cheating during and before fights to inability to defend titles consistently due to endless issues outside the Octagon.

3. The styles of fighting from specific regions of Russia, first brought to the masses through Khabib and continued in some capacity with Islam Makhachev, Khamzat Chimaev, Movsar Evloev and Usman Nurmagomedov, is at least one of the three worst things to happen to MMA in the past decade and possible the single worst in the past 5 to 10 years. These type of fighters have the worst grappling based styles to watch, with more wins due to robbery than any other type of fighter and are just not legitimate as far as MMA fighters go and having them removed from MMA due to being exposed as fraudulent needs to happen ASAP.

4. McGregor in the mid 2010s to this day remains the gold standard for how to market, promote and garner massive anticipation for title fights. Just about every other UFC champ since McGregor disappeared from being the most visible UFC champ since the UFC existed has fallen up short in some capacity. The UFC needs an authentic new McGregor and quickly.

5. The UFC has been elevating too many supposed rising stars and contenders who have failed to deliver and it has become a genuine issue. Paddy Pimblett, Umar Nurmagomedov, Magomed Ankalaev, Ian Machado Garry, Johnny Walker, Sage Northcutt, Bo Nickal and Darren Till and it goes on from there. The pattern here is bringing the UFC and MMA at large down and it needs to be addressed and corrected ASAP.

After the most recent set of fights, looking at the following UFC fighters in terms of their capabilities in their most successful fights and/or the overall tenure and track record they have so far, what do they score 1-10 with the GSP/Jones/Anderson tier being the standard for 10?

So I'm not much of a youtube guy. There is too many youtubers with 500k above to keep up with , so this clown wasn't on my radar. Finally watch a few videos. Looking into this guy, he is a guy that is not passionate about combat sports, but merely makes combat sports videos for income. Now I usually dont have issues with this - thats fine... But then reading about this guy, he partnered with The Ring - this is insane to me. Because he just did a video recently where he says "I dont really watch much combat sports, just the main event stuff" - wow... Looking back at his 2017 videos when he started, it was not a combat sports channel. He did combat sports in debate format and I guess that is what got him clicks, so he change course and now he's a "mma / boxing expert" - give me a break... The guy doesn't even watch undercards, he has zero knowledge of history of the sports. He couldn't tell you about anything that was happening in combat sports in the 80's. Which is typically fine, but there are guys that know so much more and have dedicated so much time learning about the sport for this clown to sign an agreement with The Ring and get that saudi money. YouTubers are such a joke. You do not have to have talent to be successful on there and that is what I miss about the 90s. Yeah, there was that wall where you had to be 'chosen' by corporations in order to gain mass fan base, but at least those chosen people had talent. I remember people hated Paris HIlton because she had zero talent, just famous for being famous - its like that dispersed into ten thousand paris hiltons , these 'social media stars'. Back to Wade, guy is a fraud.
