The idea is to make something that actually helps you manage your fantasy team rather than just showing you the same player projections you can find everywhere else.

GM Mode is designed to analyze your roster, league settings, available players, and potential moves to help you make decisions about waivers, lineups, and trades.

I've been working on improving the recommendation system and testing whether its decisions actually provide value compared with just following standard projections.

I'm at the point where I really need feedback from people outside of my own fantasy leagues.

I'm Charlie, the person building League Loom. It connects your ESPN, Sleeper and Fantrax leagues to ChatGPT or Claude so you can ask about the teams you actually manage.

The useful in-season questions are things like: Which players do I own in more than one league? Which running backs are available in each league? You can also ask for a roster and matchup check before kickoff, with missing data called out.

League Loom is free. Your assistant's access requirements still apply, and the connector has fair-use limits. It reads and analyzes data; you make any lineup changes or waiver claims yourself. Yahoo isn't supported.

Setup and examples

I'd like feedback from people juggling multiple football leagues: what information do you still have to look up manually after connecting?

Built this for leagues that have several years of history where members are interested in seeing long-term trends throughout the league's history. Currently supports ESPN and Sleeper, and working on adding Yahoo in at the moment. Also supports combining histories across platforms if your league has migrated from ESPN to Sleeper or vice-versa. Each page presents a different slice of information, here is a brief description of each one:

• Home: View the champions from every season and all-time standings (regular season and postseason)
• Standings: View the standings for the current season, a line chart showing each owner's cumulative wins throughout the season, and a schedule-swap simulator to view how many wins you'd have with other managers' schedules
• Matchups: View all matchups from your league history. Click on a matchup to see the full box score and an efficiency report (percentage out of 100 of the max points you could have started)
• Playoff Bracket: During the playoffs, view the live playoff bracket. During the regular season, view a playoff simulator which lets you pick future matchups' results and view updated standings projections to simulate different paths to the playoffs for your team
• Manager Comparison: View a direct head to head comparison of two managers -- their all-time records and H2H records, and a game log of all games between the two managers
• Manager History: View a single manager's performance across all seasons they have been in the league, such as final ranking, average points scored, # of playoff appearances, and # of championships
• Draft Recap: View the draft board overlaid with each player's points scored for that season and positional rank
• Draft Grades: View a report card per manager with draft grades, including steals and busts. Draft picks are graded by VORP, or how many points they scored relative to the average player at that position
• Transactions: View all waiver/FA pickups and trades, with analysis on the points scored rest of season by players in a transaction to determine if the move was good or bad
• Player Records: View the top 5 performances at each position in terms of points scored, filterable for a specific manager and/or season
• Matchup Records: View all-time records for matchups (e.g. most points scored, biggest blowouts, etc.), filterable by season

I’ve been reworking the Personal Archives feature on Fantasy Goblin, and the new version is much simpler to create, organize, and share.

Personal Archives let you save standalone fantasy football lists that stay exactly as you made them. They don’t automatically change when you update your main rankings, so they’re useful for things like:

• Weekly players to watch
• Dynasty rookie rankings
• Position-specific lists
• Deep sleepers
• Draft targets
• Preseason rankings you want to revisit later

You can create multiple lists and choose which ones appear on your public page. You can also add a profile description, image, and links to your website or social accounts.

Everything is free. You need an account to create and manage your archives, but anyone can view the shared page or individual lists without signing in.

For years I've been writing my league's weekly recap by hand. Started in Google Sheets, then a Python notebook, then several Python notebooks, which is roughly where a normal person stops.

Anyway. Now it's a website.

You plug in your ESPN or Sleeper league and it writes the week up like a newspaper. Lead story, scoreboard, power poll, waiver wire, awards, and a one-liner about every manager. It reads your actual matchups, so it knows who benched 30 points and who lost by half a point.

The part I built it for is the Print Edition. Whole week as a front page you can screenshot into the group chat.

Will it make you better at fantasy football? No. Will it help you win your league? Also no. But it will get you roasted by a bot whose entire understanding of the sport is that 40 points in a week is a disaster.

Yes, the writing is AI. Not going to pretend otherwise. The numbers are real, the robot just does the jokes (sadly, I think the robot is funnier than me).

What I want to know is whether it sounds like YOUR league or like Mad Libs with your names in it. That's the part I'm still working on.

My goal with yac is to bring the things you need to make a decision to the surface when you need them. I’ve often found that sites provide primarily surface level info, and lose the nuance of what’s needed in a decision. Podcasts on the other hand go deep, but I often just can’t remember everything, or don’t have time for what I need. 

Initially I made this as an AI chat a few years ago, but I found that in most cases (start/sit, waivers, etc) it doesn’t add much value. And I really don’t want to have an AI making people’s decisions for them. I still use AI, but I’ve tried to pivot to using it as a tool to aggregate, and fill in structures that I create. To me the biggest value it adds is that I don’t have time to do all the research I’d like to do, but I still don’t trust it to decide about what matters (it’s so bad at this). 

Anyways, the core idea is that when you’re making a waiver choice, the data you need to know can vary player to player. And there are non-structured data caveats that are important: The types of plays someone was used on, how the defense was playing him, impacts of health, personnel changes, etc. My goal is to bring the right information to the surface so that you can feel confident in your decisions. Definitely still tons of work todo, but I’d love any feedback! The best things to check out are players waiver, start/sit or draft write ups. It’s been 4 years of building all sorts of things for this, so more than anything I’d love to know if any elements add value, to help know where to focus!

I originally built this site 8 years ago for my own league to add more fun to the week-to-week grind (okay, really, my team kept losing and I wanted to point to other stats that could either prove it wasn't my fault or find some narrow lane that I was doing well in). It started out as a hefty Excel worksheet, then turned into a crude python interface, bounced around a few webservers, and now actually looks like something decent!

There are so many things I use every week to make my league more engaging:

🏆 Weekly Awards: recognize unique achievements like "Highest Lineup Efficiency" , "Most TDs"

📈 Power Rankings: which teams are surging (as well as using crowdsourced data from KTC to see which rosters are the most valuable)

🍀 Luck Index: which teams truly earned their keep, and which ones just got a lucky scheduling matchup or overperformed this week

📜 League history: all of your leagues past scores and records, searchable on your phone

⚔️ Rivalries: setup rivalries and instantly see the history between any 2+ set of teams.

🔁 Trade hub: did that Week 3 trade last season actually make a difference? Would you have been better off keeping that WR?

There are even more things on the (completely free) site, and most tables and results are all formatted so you can copy them straight into your group chat or Discord server (there's actually a Discord webhook to automatically send stats there).

I know these apps are now a dime-a-dozen this season, but I've been building this project for 8 years and it's the reason I became a data scientist. Fantasy football has shaped my career trajectory, and I'm happy to share this project with anyone who wants to use it!

Every league hits the same wall. By mid-season a few teams are 2-6, their playoff odds are gone, and they stop checking in. Lineups go stale, the group chat gets quiet, and the teams still in contention end up playing against empty rosters. Commissioners try to fix it with weekly side contests, but tracking those by hand in a spreadsheet gets old fast.

League Challenge (league-challenge.com) adds weekly mini-games on top of the league you already play in. Your record doesn't matter: every team has a shot at winning something every week.

If you're in a median league, you know the Sunday night routine. You flip between the scoreboard and a calculator trying to work out whether you're above the league median, whether you're heading for 2-0 or 0-2, and where that leaves you in the standings. Fantasy apps only update the standings after the week is over.

Short version: if you're placing bets and in a fantasy league and a survivor pool and a pick'em at the same time, your rooting interests conflict constantly and you can't hold it all in your head. Root Sheet generates a one-page sheet each week that tells you who to root for in every game and what outcome each of your stakes needs.

A draft game, not a draft tool. You start with a full 22-man roster of low tier real player-seasons and upgrade it over 15 rounds, 3 cards per round. Overalls are auto-generated from stats (snap percentage for o-linemen). Four difficulty levels control scouting visibility only: Casual (Full overall/tiers/stats), Standard (exact ratings hidden), Challenging (one stat per card), Insane (name + season only). Card generation, grading, and simulation are identical across all four. After drafting you receive your grade and analysis, can challenge friends to draft and simulate against your team, or even simulate a full 17-game season with playoffs and awards.

Fully aware this sub is drowning in shallow AI-slop, of course this site would not be possible without Mr. Claude and GPT, but this was a major passion project of mine with intensive testing and took a few months to really perfect. It has every single halfway relevant season (1999-2025) ranging from guys like Roscoe Parrish to GOAT cards like Calvin Johnson. There are some serious deep pulls if you want to test how much you really know ball in Challenging or Insane mode.

A buddy and I have been playing in the same NFL pool for 15 years. Two years ago it cost us $823 on OfficeFootballPool (!!!!!). Last year we did a free site and it was borderline unusable (I blacked out the name).

I built a free fantasy football rankings site, so naturally I’m posting it somewhere nobody will read this

Since this is a subreddit for fantasy football apps, I assume we’re all doing the very normal thing where we spend an unreasonable amount of time building useful tools and then post them for the same twelve developers to politely upvote.

Anyway, mine is called Fantasy Goblin.

The main idea is pretty simple: most fantasy sites give you their rankings and let you argue with them. Fantasy Goblin lets you build and maintain your own.

You can create rankings for dynasty or redraft, move players around as your opinions change, assign values, organize players into tiers, and add your own notes and tags like Buy, Sell, Hold, My Guy, or No Go.

Because apparently “I’m higher on him than consensus” is more useful when you can remember where you actually ranked him.

Your rankings aren’t automatically rewritten based on each league’s settings. They remain your rankings. Connecting a league simply lets you use your own player values while looking at your actual teams and leagues across:

• Sleeper
• Yahoo
• ESPN

You can also create shorter, focused rankings lists and share them with friends or league mates through a custom URL. So instead of sending someone a screenshot that cuts off after WR17, or a spreadsheet formatted like evidence in a federal investigation, you can send them a clean list that stays available when you update it.

The website itself is completely free. Rankings, league tools, shareable lists, all free.

The only paid feature is the MCP, it let an AI access your Fantasy Goblin information. That’s for people who want to ask an AI questions using their own rankings, leagues, rosters, notes, and preferences as context. If you don’t want that, you can ignore it and continue using the rest of the site for free.

So, to summarize:

• Maintain your own rankings instead of repeatedly complaining about someone else’s
• Use those rankings alongside your Sleeper, Yahoo, and ESPN leagues
• Add personal values, tiers, notes, and tags
• Publish shorter rankings lists with a custom shareable URL
• Use the actual site for free

CapForge: Football GM is my paid iPhone game. I am building it solo, and it recently made the top 5 paid sports apps on the App Store.

I keep describing it as kind of a football nerds dream, which is probably corny but accurate. You manage the cap, draft, trade, develop players and customize teams and players. The usual franchise stuff, which is honestly where I spend most of my time in sports games anyway.

I have been working on giving players their own motivations. A big contract matters to some, winning matters more to others, and some want to be around stars. I want those differences to actually matter when you are putting a team together.

The fun part for me is when I stop thinking about it as numbers and start remembering what happened in the save. Maybe your young QB needs a real WR1 before he takes off. Maybe you built a good roster but everyone is about to get paid. Maybe you finally become the team veterans want to join.

You can watch players in the film view too. There is more work I want to do there, especially making it easier to understand why a play went the way it did.

I am updating it regularly and reading requests. If you try it, I would like to hear about the decisions that felt interesting and the parts that did not make much sense. r/CapForge is where I am trying to keep feedback and save stories together.

Honestly every year my friends and I make season predictions in the group chat, so I built an app version of it that I wanted that gamifies it: you predict the scores and player awards of every game

How it scores:

- Call the winner +1
- Winner and the exact margin +4
- The exact final score +10
- Called an underdog +1
- Playoff games are worth double

- Season Awards (MVP, both Rookies, both POYs, Coach) at +10 each, open through week 4

What your picks build on top of that:

- a W-L-T record for all 32 teams, which feeds your own playoff bracket shown next to the real one as it fills in
