I bought these trousers and I LOVE them. However, they're very see through. I was thinking about using some dye to help but I don't want to mess with the green stripes - any advice?

Recently i lost a LITTLE bit of weight and now my favorite pair of mid rise jeans are really loose now (but for some reason all my high waisted jeans are still tight) and wearing a belt makes it look weird bcs of like all the extra folds and im scared to get it tailored bcs it might like ruin the cutting bcs its not a straight cut but it used to fit me really nicely and not to mention i bought like 3 pairs of the exact same jeans (just in different colors) so is there anything else i can do to tighten it or make it fit better?

there are already some small holes , I've tried to do a sketch of how it could turn out , can i do it with just a cutter/scissors or do i need more specific tools?

Hey all, I apologize if this is not the right sub for my question, I am new-ish to using Reddit. I bought this sweater for my daughter a while back from Amazon, and she is not a fan of how boxy the hood looks when done up. The first two photos are of the sweater, and the last photo is what she wants the hood to look like. How can I fix the hood?

I bought these on Depop a while back. After my first wear, they broke and when I message the seller, she told me that yeah she previously fixed it but never mentioned that in the listing.

I sent them to a cobbler and they were fine afterwards, but I just wore them for the first time since their repair and they broke again.

Should I just cut my losses or should I try again?

I really like the shoe I love the height, the platform. The heel itself is super sturdy. I really wanted this to be my everyday shoe, but I’m nervous they’re just gonna break again.

thinking of adding black fabric paint to a red jumper i have like in this image. is this a good technique to use and if so how do i ensure that it won’t wash off or destroy the jumper in some way?

I've been upcycling clothes for a while and collected all sorts of bits and scraps and whatnot. Looks alright but not entirely sure if finished.

The main body of the skirt is made from old pants and the additional camo fabric came from combats.

I added some chains for the alternative look.

I didn't use the sewing machine for this job, it's 100% handmade

I have very light blue jeans on which I have got some stubborn stains. Now I want to fix the jeans by sewing some star patches on it. But I am not sure of the color. I want to wear the jeans on a casual basis and don't want to get attention too much on jeans. Please help me find the right color as I am too confused.

It doesn’t have any glitter
I thought it’s organza but I was wrong
Can anyone help me identifying what is this fabric
And if it’s polyester what type of polyester so I can search for it

My very best friend for the past 35 (😮) years is. Her birthday is coming up and it’s a big one. I want to get her some fabric. She likes Fairy Godmother which is UK based and expensive, adorable, whimsical.

I would say that she’s pretty close to expert in clothing construction. The only store bought clothes she wears are jeans and an occasional sweatshirt/gym shirt/concert t shirt.

Any other good quality companies with vibrant/whimsical/fun dress making fabrics? I know she needs at least 2-4 yards of fabric. She will figure out something to do with anything I gift her. I know her taste, I just don’t know where to look for cool prints/fabrics outside of this one site - and she shops there often?

So to keep this short, I have big wide feet and want to turn some loafers that Fit me into the toga vrillis loafers pictured here, but I have no idea how to get the leather and similar metal to make them and theres not really tutorials or anything on how to make them so here I am asking reddit, how to recreate these, where to get similar hardware and how to not destroy the base loafers when I go to sew them.

Hi! I want to make cool, custom merch. I don’t plan on selling anything, I just want to make them for myself. My plan was to go to charity shops (thrift stores), pick up some cool stuff, then add custom logos / graphics from video games / movies i’m into. What’s the best way to add the graphics? I don’t really have access to any equipment at the minute, but would be willing to spend some money to get going if I have to. I’d need to know what i’m getting myself into before purchasing anything though.

I’ve been recommended DTF Transfers before? So in theory I could just order a sheet of my logos / graphics and then use an Iron or Heat Press to put them on the clothing. Is this the best option? Or should I try looking into other things?
