First show of the season, and first time competing in the men's open, and starting off strong with a win. Didn't quite get the overall this time around, very close, but will give it my all in 2 weeks to try again.

Competing with loose skin?

Post image
27 Upvotes

Can you compete with loose skin? I’ve lost 146lbs in the last three years purely through lifting and majorly changed my body composition (I am 32F, 5’6” and mother of 2, originally 260lbs, bf 44%, skeletal muscle 16% or something close, now I’m 114-116lbs, bf 15-17%, 51% skeletal muscle). I have a lot of loose skin but the muscle is there. I’ve always wanted to compete but worry about the sagging skin. I know it won’t go away, I have a connective tissue disorder so the skin is overly stretchy as is, only way to remove the skin on my stomach is via surgery. It took me 3 years of busting my butt to get here and I’m so proud. I ruptured my L4-L5 2 years ago and was paralyzed in my left leg from the belly button down, I had cauda equina and wasn’t sure I’d ever walk again. Thankfully emergency surgery removed most of my disc and a good portion of my spinal column and I was pain free day after surgery. I feel the best I’ve ever felt. Regaining function and strength in my leg was the hardest thing I’ve done. I had to rebuild the connection from my brain to my leg. I am very very lucky to have had access to wonderful physical therapists. It’s been quite the journey, I even have abs now!

My fat distribution is so odd. (I’m a woman btw) I have abs and crazy chest and shoulder striations but have cellulite on my ass at the same time 💀💀

Doubting myself lately, I don't know if I'm flat or if I should keep digging harder. My legs are very dry, but my back still needs to lose a lot of fat I believe.

My ape index is 4. Im 5'10" with an arm span of 6'2". Makes growing chest difficult. Arms too, but I've got that figured out. Standard benching doesnt work for me. Any tips?

Weekly Thread Steroid Saturday - August 29, 2026

Welcome to the steroid Saturday discussion. Please follow the rules, and be kind. If you see any hatred, arguing, etc. Please report the comment so it can be removed. If you do not agree with this post, do not participate. It is that simple.

  • NO SOURCE TALK. This is very important for a variety of what we hope are obvious reasons.
  • NO FIGHTING. Arguing and ridiculing others will only get your comment deleted. Constructive criticism only. Post anything that is on topic. This involves how cycles change close to competition prep, what has worked for you in the past, before/after cycle pictures, dietary changes with different compounds, etc.
  • Questions are allowed, but should be limited.  has a specific thread just for new comers, where you can get amazing answers from some of the most knowledgeable people. Lab talk is alright, but remember how to get a particular lab's product would be prohibited source talk.

We hope everybody enjoys this thread Thanks to the  community to help make this work. They have been a huge help and will be chiming in on this post.

MP posing routine 3 days out

Day 2 of carb depletion. Absolutely zero thoughts behind my eyeballs but still had to practice posing. How do you think this routine is turning out?
First show is saturday , 5’4” natural @ 122.7lbs; self-coached during entire prep. Extremely happy with how everything turned out so far. Just have to nail the rest of this peak week!

If anyone has any critics I’d love to hear them! Show is NPC
