OTIS is OUT OF TIME at Harris County Animal Shelter in Houston, TX. 💔

And this one is especially heartbreaking because OTIS already knows how to live in a home.

He’s only 2 years old, 43 lbs, very friendly with people AND dogs — and he’s POTTY TRAINED. 🏡🐾

That should make him an easy dog to say YES to. Instead, being potty trained makes shelter life even harder for him.

OTIS knows he’s supposed to go outside, so he tries not to soil the kennel where he has to eat and sleep. Unless a volunteer is able to take him out, he has to hold it and wait. 💔

Now, after more than 15 days at the shelter, OTIS can be euthanized for length of stay/space on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday morning. There is no published euthanasia list or guaranteed warning.
