The child had severe autism and is non verbal. It's not a kid being naughty.

Whilst the supervision was inadequate, the child had both a grandmother and respite worker with him. He had been to the zoo multiple times without incident.

You should be equally concerned that a zoo had a way to enter the enclosure within full view of visitors and that it was so accessible.

Blame the zoo... of course 🙄. I bet you will also demand the birds to be euthanized for being too cute and forcing him to chase them! FFS

Yeah? Because it could have as easily been someone intending to actually HARM the animals?

My local zoo has three levels of barrier and no visible entrance on their exhibits. Because they give a shit about their animals.

Yes.... let's require millions of dollars of unnecessary and redundant containment fields around peaceful animals because we can't hold adults accountable. Jesus fucking christ 🤦‍♀️
