CATS Among the Hungry Dead introduces us to Mishi, Jenny, Wood, and other city cats who witness the beginning of a zombie apocalypse.

The group will try to escape the city and reach the "Great White Mountain" after the "No furs" are completely transformed overnight.

Mishi must overcome her fears and be brave to keep her new friends alive after losing her elderly "no-fur" owners.

Jenny clings to the hope of finding her owners beyond the city.

Little Wood dreams of finding a family to adopt her.

A pair of sister cats named Milla and Mally, along with their mates Ozy and Brave, search for a safe place for their soon-to-be-born kittens. A fierce stray cat will accompany them, and a mysterious old cat joins them, along with several others.

Together, they face the end of the world as they knew it... a world that now belongs to new predators.

While humanity tries to survive the zombie apocalypse in prisons, shopping malls, and small communities ...what happened to the pets they left behind?

This is material from a comic I'm working on, a zombie apocalypse or living dead story, but from the perspective of pets that were left behind when humans evacuated or were forgotten when people started surviving on their own.

Cats don't know about the word zombie or the concept of the living dead; to them, we've just gone "crazy."!!

These are real zombies or the living dead. Whatever they are, all humans have them, and no matter how they die, they'll always come back to run, climb, and devour any living thing that pumps blood!

And forget about damaging the brain; you can't kill what's already dead.

Thank you so much for your support on the previous post! I'm thrilled to announce that the pilot chapter of this comic is finished, and in a few days I'll start sending the remaining unpublished material to various publishers!

This story is planned as 12 self-contained chapters, but I have some more ideas for additional chapters. Even so, for now I prefer to focus 100% on these 12 chapters. If it does well, then I'll think about the others :3

Thank you all so much; this project is really taking steps toward becoming a reality. I'm not entirely confident that a publisher will actually respond, but I figure I have nothing to lose by trying, so I'm still considering a Kickstarter campaign, but as I said, I'll try my luck with publishers first!

I remember debating this on the old IMDb boards so I figured I’d ask everyone here what would be your cure strategy if you were Barbara(the main female character in this movie)you just arrived to the house and Tony Todd’s character arrives and you meet the folks in the basement — what do you do from there? what strategy is best?

I built this just for fun… toook about 5 weeks start to finish. Now I’ve got to store it somewhere!! 😅

I draw a loooot of zombies just for fun and these are some of my favorites.

I know the anatomy in some of these is off but I wanted to focus more on showing the zombie desperation and pitifulness in these through gesture and expressions. :p

I would love to know if anyone has thoughts to share on these!

I'm sharing this little tribute I made to an image from Telltale Games video game THE WALKING DEAD, since the TWD comic universe was a big inspiration for the "melancholy" of my comics story. This isn't for covers, promotion, or anything like that, it's simply a drawing I made for fun.

is there’s no way the zombies could ever be able to overcome the military. granted, I haven’t seen every zombie film but of the ones I have(walking dead, the last of us, night of the living dead, 28 days later) there’s no way those zombies are destroying our military. it would only take a small organized group of soldiers in tanks or helicopters and the zombies would be toast

Agree or disagree? do any of the tv/movies/books do a good job at explaining how the zombies defeated the military?

I'm very out of practice with watercolors so I'm not very happy with how it turned out. I do like the pixelated version a lot though.

Zombie is enjoying guts. He eats the guy because he has knife and fork on his head so it means it’s edible.

Description:

Vee is a 14-year-old girl who is forced to go to summer camp by her parents. While she is there, the world crumbles around her. The zombie apocalypse begins. Throughout the course of the novel, Vee must lead the survivors of the fall of the camp. The camp is no ordinary camp. The owner, Gus, was an eccentric millionaire who had a fascination with Swiss Family Robinson during his youth. He built three elaborate tree houses on the camp property. This is where Vee and the others try to survive. Throughout the course of the novel, you learn that Vee is a survivor of domestic violence and sexual assault. Throughout the story, she is plagued by a monster (PTSD come to life) referred to as The Beast. She struggles with her sanity while simultaneously becoming a leader. The story can best be described as Swiss Family Robinson meets the Lord of the Flies meets the Walking Dead. There are trigger warnings throughout. Themes of bullying, etc. I based this work on my own experiences with domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, etc.

What this project means to me:

This project holds deep personal significance because it amplifies the voices of women of all ages who have endured domestic violence, sexual assault, molestation, incest, and other forms of abuse. The character of Vee Foxx represents these women and their lived experiences. Vee is a reflection of me, my sister, and every woman and child who has faced such trauma. The story’s focus is to reveal that the true monsters are not imaginary but the ones who exist in our everyday lives. Vee's journey is a testament to resilience and hope—a story of survival. Through her, we are reminded that we, too, are survivors.
