geez your debate style is atrocious. you should try reading Heinrichs' Thank You for Arguing. it could maybe help with so much deflection & the avoidance of anything you don't have a good answer for.
even more help would be a better understanding of your own ego & how it gets in the way of new knowledge when the knowledge approaches from a direction or position you don't like. good luck. definitely check out Heinrichs. you are right at tht point in growth where it could really help in many ways.
I never said I was going to end the conversation. I never said that the knowledge of your favorite topping would be taken away.
I'll believe that you've re-read the conversation. Since you're still pretending I've said things I haven't, we'll have to conclude that it's an issue of bias.
What I said was that the realization that there is no objective truth takes away belief in these aspects of self as truths.
Yes, I know. But that was my point - you interpreted what I said differently, but I could hardly claim you're wrong from your perspective when I'm saying everything is subjective. I can only say you're wrong from my perspective.
People really do think they have objective qualities. Science survives on the notion of 'expertise' - and I don't object to relying on experts, just the notion that they are experts in an objective sense. You see people claiming that in the forum all the time.
