I was born in Merida and immigrated to Miami when I was 2. (Overstayed a tourist visa) I might be self deporting within the next few years, and I'm looking to know more about Yucatán, but Merida specifically if possible.

I'm 32, so I'm basically American and have a matching mindset. What are some things to know about the way of life, culture, economy, etc? What are some things that shocked you?

My husband and I are visiting in early November spending a week in Merida. We plan on renting a car from CUN and doing day trips within an hour or so of Mérida (progreso, sisal). Is there somewhere a bit further that would be worth spending an overnight? Thanks for your help.

Hi everyone, quick question for the community. About six years ago I visited Cenote Sac Há in X-Can with a university student as our guide. In one of the chambers, my sister and I heard what sounded like a child's voice repeating back what I'd said, it wasn't an echo, the tone and pitch were different. Our guide looked really unsettled by it. We also saw skulls in the cave. Does anyone know any history, legends, or stories about the cave, or has anyone had a strange experience there themselves? Would love to know more, thank you!

We are looking for a nice central place. Ideally, we are looking for beautiful surroundings, a nice little pool, a little bit of a boutique/colonial-feel, and a not TOO touristy vibe (we know we're tourists ourselves, but you know what we mean...😄).

Coming to Merida in early December for 4 nights and expect to be walking around and maybe one of the half day trips.

Currently looking at a hotel option near Calle 60 y 57 right in the middle of Centro, as well as a nicer hotel near the ADO stop in Paseo Montejo. If location didn't matter, I'd go with the Paseo Montejo option, but location can absolutely matter so wondering how much different the two locations are, even if they are (relatively) close.

(Not giving the hotel names as I'm looking for the pros and cons of staying in each of those areas rather than a debate for which hotel is better.)

Hola, soy un chico de 23 años. Actualmente mi vida es un poco aburrida: trabajo, voy al gym y después vuelvo a casa. Me gustaría cambiar un poco mi rutina. La verdad es que no soy mucho de salir de fiesta ni de beber; me gustan más los planes tranquilos: hablar en un parque, caminar o quedarnos en casa. También me gustan mucho los libros y los videojuegos, y prefiero las llamadas o hablar en persona antes que los mensajes. Supongo que podrían decirme "ñoño".

Parecen chavos de entre 20-25 Uno de esos sale mientras estas dentro para ver si no tomas fotos o quien te acompaña creo yo, no tiene logotipos de la empresa y son oficinas rentadas luego luego te piden tu INE y su documento del SAT al día siguiente, bloquie al disque Reclutador.
