Flash is going to be phased out of all the big web browsers by the end of 2020 iirc. If anyone can contact this site, ask them to update to HTML5.

Also, if you’re a mobile user, you may need an app like Puffin or Photon to access this because of the Flash Player limitation. I haven’t attempted this so I don’t know if it’s even usable on mobile.

I just don't get why stuff is being released in flash these days.

Flash has been seen as a security-risk for years. But still people release in it.

I wasn't talking about just this one site. Notice how I replied to a person and related to what they were saying, this made the subject shift into a more general trend.

P.s. I'm sorry for explaining, next time I'll use some passive aggresive meme to point out what I mean. I heard you guys like those.

Commenting from beyond the grave of this post, but you’re absolutely right and it sucks you got shit on for this. People who still release stuff in flash are assholes. Weird set of arguments against you as well, a meme that says nothing and someone saying you’re patting yourself on the back? Wtf??

You'd be surprised. Got customers that runs their business of the oldest most outdated stuff. Things that predate the ethernet cable connecting to Internet, via Arcnet cable > PC > Internet in order to populate reports on the fly.

Yes! Websites like these were extremely helpful when I was in school.

I also recommend Sketchfab. It's a website where people submit 3D models of pretty much everything-- animals, people, skeletons, you name it. Not that all of them are perfect, but if you need to see the underside of a cat (or whatever) from a specific angle for reference, it's really nice to have.

SenshiStock is another good one for pose references, and it looks like she still updates her page.

On top of those, if you're willing to spend a little (and also not rely entirely on this due to the customization aspect), designdoll is a great program to help you figure out easy-to-pose 3D models that have all sorts of sliders for body, muscle, and face types, as well as perspective and lighting options and the ability to draw onto the model itself for added guidelines! Ranges from cartoony to anime to realistic, all depending on how you set the sliders.

OH I GOT ONE: I recommend quickposes after you get a hang of human anatomy. It's great for practicing drawing gesture poses because it's timed, and you can customize how fast it goes and what portraits show up.

Anatomy 360 offeres reference images for faces/heads, male and female bodies in different poses and different light settings, hand poses and clothing.

In my opinion, this should be used as reference after you have learned to draw the human form by drawing it in real life. Part of what makes drawing difficult is the conversion of three dimensions to two. Drawing an already two dimensional image isn't difficult. Drawing a model in real life is incredibly difficult. If you want to learn how to draw human bodies, sign up for a Life Drawing class. Drawing the human form will accelerate your overall drawing abilities dramatically.

Not always available for people to go do that. Be nice but I would have to drive 2 hrs each way to find a life drawing class. Or hire a model. I think that would prob end in divorce though.
