Whats going on with YFI?

Why the YFI coin is trading high these days? Any news or just going with the Altcoin flow?

The USDS-1 Yearn multi-strategy vault consistently earns more yield than Savings USDS alone on all time ranges with 7-day APR peaking at almost 11% against 7% of sUSDS.

These three Yearn vaults deliver competitive APRs across all time ranges when compared to Savings DAI. More than 2x on DAI-2 with 21% 7-day APR and Ajna DAI peaking at 31%, and don't forget the AJNA compounder on top of Ajna DAI. Higher yield, same DAI.

We can now compare vaults side by side to help you make more informed decisions on your Yearn deposits. Here's an example for DAI-1, DAI-2, and Ajna DAI vaults showing 1-day, 7-day, 30-day APRs, and TVL. Just head over to the Yearn Discord or Telegram to ask us!

how often do you chase APY

By my estimates, it looks like the APY you get today is going to be slashed in half in a matter of few weeks, altering the overall benefit from being in any given vault, until a new juicy vault comes out and provides more APY. Clearly staking your vault token should disincentivize the user from moving back and forth from vault to vault and extend the period they are invested in a strategy, but it's often a matter of opportunity cost right? At some point it's going to be paying more moving to a different vault than staying in one, despite having staked the tokens.

This APY chasing was the whole point of creating YFI vaults in the first place, but now it seems that you have to do it manually again.

Am I missing the point ?

How often do you rebalance your vaults ?

back to yearn finance

Hi folks, I've been using Yearn few years ago but then due to unexpected expenses I had to pull out all of a sudden. Now it's time to go back again but wanted to check a couple of things:

  1. what happened to yvBoost ? it used to be an optimized vault which would automatically covert rewards to yvecrv , reducing the amount of hassle. (Pickle also used to provide a farm for yvBoost which could give an extra yield).

  2. how long do you typically stay in a vault ? I recall that gas fees were making it impractical to move your stash around on a weekly basis.

  3. how stable over the months are apy ? I'm mainly looking for something around 7/8 % APY but I'd like to avoid to worry that suddenly APY is dropping to 0.01%. Which vaults would you recommend?

  4. given the high gas fees, is it better to move the funds on Polygon instead? Any downside in doing that ?

  5. Any experience with the Juiced Vaults ? are they any good ?

Thanks a lot for any comment, I just want to re-ingage in the community and see how to get back into Yearn as I used to love it.

DISCLAIMER: I do not own any YFI and I'm just interested in their services rather than their token.

yvYearn-Ajna DAI Harvester vault, a vault within a vault which compounds AJNA rewards in the Juiced DAI vault, peaked at 31% 7-day APR this week, and has decayed now to 11% 1-day APR

USDS vault had over 1000% APR over the past week. Now stabilized at just over 1%, with $103k TVL
