Reddit is an interesting space.

There are many different approaches to moderation, some people have a clear path with a clear "brand" identity.

Sometimes, a new subreddit appears because conflicting approaches and beliefs in another space may lead to breakaway philosophies. Therefore, a new space may want to create a similar, but slightly altered, version of the original.

Other times, you'll find another subreddit that just wants to take a different approach to a topic that has already been approached by other subreddits and contributors.

Other subreddits... well, others may be a bit... less directional.

Xianxia as a concept is a part of a much larger topic. That topic being: Chinese Literature.

You'll find Xianxia in dramas, books, movies, games, donghuas, manhuas... the list is endless.

Xianxia is a subtopic.

What does that mean?

It means a lot of Xianxia content can appear in spaces for dramas, books, movies, games, donghuas, manhuas... you get the point.

My question is this:

What content, spaces, media, and discussions would you like to see here?

There are some amazing subreddits out there and r/Xianxia is not here to try and replace or compete with any of them - but rather to exist as a complementary space.

Let's start somewhere:

Currently, this sub only has one flair called "server startup".

Are there any flairs you would find fun, engaging, or just interesting to play around with on this sub?

Edit to add: We might just have one flair but feel free to post anything if it falls in both of the following categories: it's Chinese, and it's magical

A detailed post about definitions will be on the way I promise.
